Default MOST Regrettable Mod

I guess I can be considered a novice to mods, having only done Cat Backs and Air Intake to improve performance on my '04 C5 Vert. Even though the car is still under warranty, I plan on doing some more. What , if any, would you consider to be your LEAST favorite mod to your C5. It can be ANY year C5, performance AND/OR appearance mod.

Mine is my most regrettable and my favorite. I put long tube headers on it, makes the car sound badass, which I love, and that makes me keep my foot in it and burn lots of gas, which I regret.

The damn ASTROTOP clear roof panel I have had about a week.

Leaks, can't get it adjusted right and rattles/squeaks. It has just been a PITA, so I am returning it. That will cost me a nice penny tomorrow.

Allowing a professional performance shop to get away with installing a reverse split cam in my vette without my knowledge or approval, even though we had agreed on an entirely different cam beforehand.

Now, it's not considered to be "cost-effective" to swap it out for the correct one.

I regret not persuing that matter every time I read what kind of horsepower/torque so and so is putting down to the ground with the cam I SHOULD have had installed.

When will I learn to NEVER go with the "lowest bidder" on a job estimate?

I never added this mod, but occassionally people will ask if those electric superchargers that they sell online actually work. I would say that is the worst mod ever.

Unfortunately, we are ALL guilty of going with the low bid now and then. It's just human nature to always look for a bargain. As the old saying goes, you often get what you pay for. I feel for you, and wish you luck for a speedy solution!

That would be my wheels. The wheels are fine, the color (Comp Grey) isn't. Either Hyper Silver or Hyper Black would have been what I was looking for. They are more like "Comp Gun Metal Blue."

Most regrettable??? I have yet to regret a mod, but what I do regret is buying LG Pro headers then 3K miles and 5 months later selling them whilst having a TT installed. Took a heavy hit on those.

Thankfully, no mods yet that I regret doing. Hope it can stay that way.

I can honestly say that I don't have regrets either. If you did any research at all here on the forum, you should be pretty well informed by the time you pull the trigger.

B&B Bullets, Love em but hate em. Love the way it sounds at idle, but hate them on the highway.

I don't have B&B but I do have Borla Stingers. I've got the 4 inch round quad tips and they look serious. They sound great at idle, freakin' awesome at acceleration, but drive me nuts on the highway. I am eventually going to move over to Corsa Pace Car.
