Rear view camera

I had to cut some SMC around the plate area to fit it.

Really flakey performance when fitted. The control box lost its tune repeatedly. The pic was fuzzy in any case. And I guess the need for a rear view in a Vette is limited.

Pulled it out soon after the fit.

Why do you hate the Stingers? They drone? If that's the only problem, I won't mind them then.

Most regrettable.
Installing ceramic brake pads. Brake fade is very bad.

Changed my Center console Lid cover 3 times. Bought a 4th one-still waiting for delivery- I really don't regret this mod -I just couldn't get the look I want and it's getting expensive

Wet Okole seat covers, put them on and it raised my head into the headliner. Felt like I was sitting on a mattress!!!! Of course since I ordered them with piping Wet Okole would not take them back....nice customer service there W.O....NOT!!!!

I sold them on this great Forum and took a big hit but the guy who bought them likes them.

Brushed SS door sill covers!! Poorly designed product, doesn't fit well, virtually impossible to install without scratching up the sills, kept popping up (even with thorough prep), only look good from 10 feet away -- up close, they look chincy, traps water underneath, would damage the sill to remove, are expensive, etc., etc... Don't get me started.

Are you sure you flushed the old fluid completely?
I'm easily getting way over 25hp more.
50hp if I use the hazard flashers

And with my performance hood seal, I'm easily putting down 600rwhp.

YOU WILL regret all your mods....WHEN you decide to sell or trade up one day. Not only will you loose all the money you spent on mods, but it will also cost you money due to depreciation of a non stock car. Believe me, a used car is worth much more when it is 100% original stock. I have spent about $3,000-$4,000 on mine and it is worth about $1,500-$2,500 less than it would be pure stock. My math say's it cost me about $5,000 that could have gone towards a newer vette.

BUT, it's not for sale, and I am enjoying my mods... So it comes down to if, or how long you are going to keep the C5. Don't get me wrong, there are exceptions to everything. Sometimes you can find a buyer who likes your mods and is willing to pay for them, but on the retail market, everything above is very true... I know, been there and done that, many, many times...

Ouch, I was looking to get one of those Thompson Astro Tops for my 99 but was still holding off for a bit.
Now I have heard a bad fitment/squeaky reviews am thinking twice, but the OEM is almost twice the price at $1700.00
