Give me a break... I later apologized if I offended anyone and said to post anything ya like (photos, opinions, whatever). I realize that opinions are shared as much as photos and also realize they can provide some good insight(s) into various options. So, maybe my request for just photos was incorrect. You'll have to give me a little breathing room as someone relatively new to this particular forum and not a seasoned veteran, such as yourself. So, lesson learned and apology given. Can we drop it now?

As for the photos I've seen so far; there are some bad *** looking wings (and other mods) in this thread... Thanks for the pix - keep em coming! Opinions too, hijacks, anything - It's just great to see some of the work you've all done. Thanks for sharing.

If I do decide to add a wing to my Corvette, I'll add my photo as well - unless I'm booted out by then

Same ACP spoiler as the other wide body in this thread, different acp widebody kit - I also had Kerry do this one custom to this kit.

Quote: Tony---how much longer before she is finally done? It is coming along GREAT
Hi Lori,

It's coming along. I have changed my mind a few times which has complicated the process. Going to convert the coupe to a FRC style roof and rear.

I finally got my new suspension on (Pfadt Coilovers & Sways, VBP Poly Bushings, Baer (Bump Steer) on front, VBP heavy duty tie rods rear
and Wilwood 14" Big Brake Kit on all (4) corners along with the custom CCW SP16A's.

I'm now working on the conversion from an auto to a manual tranny conversion. I got the new pedals, master slave and resevoir in. I have to do a few
tweaks on the suspension (adjustments) and then I'll move on to removing the Magnuson supercharger and replacing that with a stock intake.

After that it's time to drop the drive train and complete the tranny conversion process with the assistance of (Dr. Phil aka RoadRebel) who
has been very helpful to me during the whole process.

Once I've wrapped these items, it's back to the body shop for the FRC conversion and finishing up of the body kit and paint.
I hope to wind up my part by the end of June and send the car off to the body shop in the beginning of July. I hope to make Carlisle this year.

Here's a few updated pictures.

ACI or Caravaggio
Can anyone explain the difference between the rear spoilers from ACI or Caravaggio companies? I just can't tell from looking at catalogs or pics of cars here. Thanks

Quote: When I was researching a ground effects kit for my car I was told that the wing you pictured in the beginnin of your thread was called a race wing. I looked it over pretty carefully and decided that it was a bit too much for me (a little too big) so I went with the classic wing, chin spoiler and side skirts---I believe in the long run they came from C5West and were not hard on the pocketbook either

Here ya go:

Digivex,

Just a small observation on my part, this forum is a fantastic source of information, both time saving and money saving facts available here. Virtually everything about our cars is on this site or somone knows about it. The majority of the forum members will jump in for any good cause and we are well known for our generosity too. Do a search of the key word "pay it forward" and you will be amazed.

With that said, I have also seen that we can fight among ourselves like cats and dogs over the simplest of things, oil, headers and rear spoiler/wings to name a few. (I'm getting one soon )

As a new member, my best unsolicited advice to you is to let things go and attempt to stay out of pi%%ing matches. Having a thick skin will serve you well here. Try not to take replies to your posts/threads in a personal matter. Don't forget, most (not all) Corvette owners are type “A personalities,” we are very opinionated. It's not worth it to me when it is all said and done.

I wish you much success and enjoy your stay here.

Quote: I was asking for photos, not negative feedback - or even positive feedback for that matter.

I am sure some people have installed a wing... Maybe most have not. I have not, but would like to see some who have.

To me, it's interesting to see what people have done (good or bad). But, it's sad if a request to see some photos leads to flaming the person who simply asked to see some pictures. If that's the case, simply have a moderator delete the string and I'll move on.
You aint been around these here parts too long have you?

Asking Corvette Forum members to stick to the question is like trying to divert an oil tanker.

Take the comments as part of the service and relax You'll get lots of good advice ..... along with the views and comments

Welcome to the Forum

Ive seen that car in person, its a **** load of work is how. Its mostly all customed. Have no kids, an understanding wife... a good paying job... and a lot of free time for your addiction is how you car looks like that :-) Isnt that right Tony!

HAHHA

Low profiles look ok. If you get a BIG wing sell your vette for a civic!

Yeah, Keith I'm fortunate to have a flexible job and a understanding wife.

I'm hoping to wrap up all of the mechanical work by the fourth of July weekend.

Then it's back to the body shop to finish up the body kit and conversion to an FRC.
