Heck, I waved at a Viper the other day and the driver waved back.

I have had a C2, C3 and C5 and continue to waved at all Vettes. The wave shows that you are a Corvette enthusiast instead of merely a Corvette owner. We need to save the tradition.

My tint is too dark, so nobody gets waves. Just a quick blip of the fog lamps and nod of the head, heh.

I'll usually wave to all vettes that I can, if it's not an awkward, going out of my way type of wave (like if they're negotiating a turn or curve and I'm gaining on them). But I also think it's kinda more the responsibility of the newer generations to wave to the older ones. Shows you're not a generational snob like everyone is saying about some C6 owners.

I completely agree. I have never been waved to by a C6 owner. It seems like they are either too cool, or new to vettes and don't know what a C5 is.

I wave at all vettes and when I forget that I am driving my other car I get some interesting reactions. So I put a 'I'd rather be driving my Corvette" LP frame on my M35 but it doesn't help much. Just keep wavin'

The only time I really get funny looks is when I forget and wave from the work vehicle!

Be proud - WAVE - to all the vettes!!!

If they wave, GREAT! If not......no biggie.

I also own a Jeep Wrangler - and *the wave* is part of the Wrangler culture. Same scenario.... some people don't wave back. They just don't *know*

Here's one for the books, I was on the interstate in my GT Mustang, and I rolled my tinted window and gave a big to an owner of a white '01 coupe. He sure looked confused! Later at a rest stop I explained I owned one of each! I've also done it in reverse, giving the to owners of beautiful Mustangs while driving the 'Vette. I guess I JUST LOVE SPORTY CARS

I wave at all Vette's if I don't have my head up my @ss. With that, there are days that I'm enjoying the drive and the tunes so much I'm in a zone and don't even see the others, so I bet they are posting about me on the other sites.
I'm a little like black & tan, when I am paying attention, I wave at most nice cars. Something about classics and even some of the new convertibles on a nice day with there tops down.

Thats funny. You must freak out a lot of vette owners, "I'm watching you." Pretty cool though.

Stay safe

Just because they can't get it up doesn't mean they shouldn't wave.

I never EVER get a wave from women Vette drivers. One lady tried to race me once... but no wave.

With my window tint and AC on, you may not see me wave. But I do.

I started out with the Jeep wave, then onto the bike wave and finally the Corvette wave. I can't seem to get the FX-35 wave going though haha. It never fails though having a passenger with you...."do you know that guy/girl?" haha

I wave at Jeeps & Corvettes (I own both) when I'm in my Toyota (Tacoma).

Sometimes I get a wave back...but usually not. I don't care.... it's fun and It's even more fun if you can see the reactions on their faces when they're dumbfounded ..."Why'd that person just wave at me??"

I keep seeing this nice C6 vert in my neck of the woods. I waved today but I couldn't tell if they even noticed....those darn vettes sit too damn low to the ground and I can't see through the window tint when I'm in my truck!!

I wave at all Vettes, sometimes you get one back and sometimes you don't. No biggie. I think the ones who don't wave are probably just first-timers taking a test drive before they buy the only American Sports Car!
