A little hard to see here. Need some better shots. These are from RK Sport. Good price, great service. Quality is good. They are a little smaller than I'd hoped for, I think I'd rather have 2" but they are hard to find. A lot harder to get a clean install (carpet cuts) than I expected.
Are you talking about hoops or the roll cage?
I would be very interested in seeing a vert with a roll cage myself.
Cage kind of defeats the reason for having a vert. I have only seen one was done by ECS. A real roll bar is all is needed unless you are really out there racing door to door. Those dress up hoops are not good for anything but looks.

Do those qualify as "roll bars"?
I need to know this as well as I am obviously running better than 13.49 with my current setup.
NO. Check the NHRA web site.
A roll bar needs to be above your head. One continious hoop from side to side, One diagonal tube with in the main hoop. a minium of two down tubes from the main hoop. all four contactets welded to the frame of your car.
Figure a min of 1 7/8 OD tubing.
Plus it must be at least 2" above the top of your helmet.
here are a few pics for you guys. A roll bar is either a 5 or 6 point and the car is legal for 10.0 et. A roll cage is where the bars go through the dash. the first 2 pics are a roll bar and the second 2 are a full cage..

Thanks chris.
I can probably live with a roll bar on a convertible, but I cant justify a cage. Just defeats the purpose I guess.. Do you sell rollbars?
These are from WCC
the trim rings are courtesy Lowe's plumbing dept.
Your hoops really look nice! How much were they and did that include installation?
I have been considering hoops in my '02 M.Y. roadster and have talked to Steve (270) 842-4409 at MMRC up near B.G., Ky. He sells them for $500.00 or $600.00 installed. I was planning to have him install them while I was in B.G. the week before last but I was too busy to get with him.
For those of you who have hoops, do they obstruct your ability to recline your passenger seat like when on a trip and trying to snooze? I don't want to have to sit up straight all the time if I'm trying to nap.
It depends on who is doing the install. Its quite complex and really not recommeded for a home install.. Feel free to give me a call and I will go over some options..
I have a custom roll bar from MTI racing in Atlanta. It's attached @ 4pts. behind the seats and 2 bars extend back into the begining of the trunk area. It has allen bolts to attach to the extenders that enables me to push it forward to raise and lower the top. I will get some pics for you...

By Road Atlanta I assume you mean Panoz Track Days. If so, Panoz requirements are significantly less than what you need for the dragstrip. Most of the MTI rollbars I have seen at RA would not pass NHRA or SCCA. Last time at RA there was a Viper there with an MTI rollbar and the driver's helmet was above the bar.
