Bringing it back from the dead

Is the kit long enough to plug into the te cd changer in the back and go all the way and run threw the console and hook up to the Pro-clips mount? Or is the wire just long enough to reach the center console?

Thanks!

It should be plenty long for that. I have mine going from the CD changer in the back, over the right rear wheel well, behind the passenger seat, and into the console where it connects to the spec.dock in the cupholder. And there is a foot or more (I forget exactly) of wire length remaining.

So, does the CD changer still work with this setup?

So... there's no way to just plug into the back of the factory head unit and hit the "AUX" button?

Just curious since I just got an i-pod and have a cable for using it in my 09 Sierra, but the Z06 is way different.

No, the ipod2Car plugs in to the end of the cable that originally went to the CD changer.

I believe there is also a way to plug in to the back of the head unit, but I'm not sure about that.

You can do that if you do not have a 6 disc changer in the trunk. Togue wrote up a very nice description of the installation procedure with pics.

Thanks! I do NOT have the changer, so I'll have to look into that.
