I traded waves with a C3 yesterday - it was .
However, I don't get upset if I don't get a wave back.
Actually, my wife seems to be in a little club of her own. She has a newer VW Beetle convertible, and it seems that all of those drivers wave to each other, too!
I wave at all vettes regardless though not a really hearty wave kind of the fully vertical 2 click wave. As to C6 owners not waving I don't think its necessarily an arrogance thing. The C6 being new you can just walk into a dealer and buy one and most car salespeople have no idea what the wave is and don't tell them. With a previous gen car like c5, c4 etc chances are you bought it private party or browsed a forum, talked with corvette owners etc and through those people learned about the wave. I had never heard about the corvette wave until I came on here and then when I bought my car the previous owner let me know about it. Had I bought a car from a dealer without coming here I probably wouldn't be waving either. Instead of assuming C6 owners hate you if you happen to see them in a parking lot or light just let them know hey its a friendly thing all corvette owners wave to each other; chances are they never knew.
So what happens when #6 and #15 meet on the road? Do they both crash while craning their necks until the last possible moment to see if the other guy waves first? I thought the wave was a "giving" thing.
For what ever reason ( Ego, Personality, Vain) I've noticed this also mostly with the C6 crowd. What I believe is happening is they have the attitude of being newer, more expensive, and of course faster then your C5. So in their eyes, your just a pee on. I'm so tire of the non waving group that unless I see a hand go up first, I don't move mine.
Any way here is one for you
Sounds like the same complaint the C4 crowd had about us.
I'm not saying this is a C6 thing, I've had plenty other vettes not wave. I'm just curious as to why someone won't wave back when they clearly see you waving at them and have probably had many other vettes wave also. Hell I'm the guys neighbour he ought to wave fjust or that. Haaa.
Anyway I'm curious as to the reason people don't wave...maybe their mamma didn't love them or something?
The only time I dont see people waving is when I am on my Hayabusa, and the other guys is on a Harley. They dont wave because they are scared they will lose control of the oil leaking POS.
I unfortunately am also a member of the dually club, and every dually driver I have seen, in every Province or now State gives the big wave.
But I wave anyway, to the dually pilots, and the hogs on hogs.
You may want to take any given Harley, same year as your rice rocket, and see what the value is. That ricer of yours won't bring nearly the same return on value as a Harley, eh ?
When I am driving in my C5, I will wave and get a wave back. But when I am in my Viper, I usually don't get a response from the C5'ers. I am the same guy driving both, whats the problem?

I'd love for a C6 (Coupe or Vert) owner to assume he faster than me... He will be sadly mistaken.
I wave to all corvettes using all my fingers But sometimes i wave useing just ONE FINGER, guess which one (never to a corvette) to some of the dumbest marthafockers to hold a drivers license

Yep - that pretty much sums it up. Only the first C6 I ever saw did the owner wave back to me after I purchased my C5. After 30 or so waves to 30 C6's in 3 provinces (Canada), I've had enough of waving to them. Even had some guy in Lethbridge a few weeks back have this "Don Johnson" attitude (some guy in his 40's - I think he thought he was Mr. Johnson) driving a silver C6 vert. I pulled up beside him, waved at him, and he looks at me with this stone face and pushes his sunglasses closer to his face and then looks back at the stoplight.
Every other group waves back left and right, but not the C6 crowd (especially in Alberta). Thank god I'm moving out of this sheethole province soon!!! Everyone up here thinks they're king **** - I say let them all fight for the crown.
OFF TOPIC - Also saw some comment on the forums a short while back from some Albertan doing 280+kph on his bike with his girlfriend on the back. Dont know who it was, but please stick to the bike and don't buy a corvette - it isn't your thing.
