Default Installing heated seats

Out of curiosity, has anyone converted their non-heated seats to having them heated. I've seen the kits and I'm contemplating doing it myself... But I really don' t want to screw up my seats. Any suggestions?

Yes, I have done that mod and absolutely love them! Not that difficult to do at all. Did both seats and all the wiring easily in about a half a day. No problems along the way at all. Switch placement, if in the same place I put them, takes some time and a little cutting here and there but not a big deal at all. Use add-a-tap to footwell fuse panel for power to the heating elements.

Highly recommend them.

And, gives you a reason to clean out from under the seats.

Nice looking install, DIYGUY.

There have been other forum members that have also installed heated seats in their C5s. A search might bring up some old threads on that.

I did the install on my 98 and 02 ZO6 I used PFYC for the heated seat kits and have been very happy with them. The install was very straight forward and looks like factory!

PM me your e-mail address and I will send you any pictures I have left.

I would hate to have to choose my favorite mod, if I could only keep one. GHL's or my heated seats. The seats are fantastic and a must have for a vert, but great for any car. Dee Gee helped me out when I did mine, and they are not that hard to do. I chickened out and had somebody insert the elements in the seat bottoms, but that's not too bad either. I installed my switches in the ashtray door which is then hidden by the outer door.
I got mine on auction. Heizgart (sp)?

Sounds like all the bases are covered for you and I too can send some more pics if you want.

I got my heater elements also at PFYC.

Here is a link - I got the "Luxury" Model. Quite satisfied with them and they heat up within just a couple of minutes.

Good Luck....
