The C4 is my least favorite and I don't care much for 73 and up C3's either. My favorite classic would be a 67.

I have a C4 coupe and a C5 vert and the C4 is usually the one I pick. If I was going on a trip then the C5 would get the nod.

I like the looks of the C2 and the LT1 C4 cars. I love the C5 and C6.

I wouldn't trade my Camaro for a C3 or pre-92 C4 unless it was really done up right. I just don't think they did anything well those years.

The harsh reality of the C2 and C3 cars is that by today's standards they handled, braked and drove very poorly.

When I get my Corvette, I will wave to all generations because any Corvette owner has a piece of history in their hands. They all need to be preserved.

Well, I had a 1990 'vert that was pretty cool, but my wife hated it. It moved out pretty well with a mild 383.

She likes the new ride much better...

I have owned (and loved) a tricked out C2 (1963). I never owned a C3 but fell in love with the styling and I still think it is the sexiest looking Vette alive! I used to occasionally drive my roommate's 1969 (435 hp; 427 cid) and it was a real mover! Of course, the ride was so rough that it would loosen the fillings in my teeth, but a good dentist can fix that... it's worth it! My least favorite was also the C4, although I bought a 1990 and it was a blast to own! I recommend C4s to anyone who can't quite afford a C5. The C5 I have now easily has the best ride but it is not the fastest. That honor goes to the 327 cid 63.

But I agree with the many people before me who have said, "If it's a Vette, I like it!"

Default Probably a C4 is least

We don't hate the C4, but it is the least liked anyway in our family. I was seriously considering a '95 C4 'vert for a while. My wife sat in a C4 one day soon after, got out, and announced she will never sit in one again. We bought a C5, which she absolutely loves! I caught her with my '69 C3 vette back in 1980.

My .02 worth,
Tim Glover

My wife also doesn't really like the C4 body style even though I bought her a vert for a couple of months and it was a 91 she called it the barbie car.

Personally I can't stand the 78-82 C3's I would like to aquire some day a 69-72 C3.

I actually like the looks of the C4 Zr1 and the gran sports. I also would daily drive a nice 92+ with a Lt1 and a 6 speed.

I remember when I was a kid driving by the Chevrolet store and seeing the new 84 C4 corvettes and thinking old guys car I wanted the 83 TA that Michael Knight drove on Knight Rider now that was the car for me. Also the Stars Wars dash was just down right awful from 84-89. Also the wheels on the 84-86 were ugly

Of course you could go to C4 General and post a question "Do you think the C5 tail is too big? and watch them fire back at you...

ANY car I own has to be appealing to me visually. I honestly couldn't care less about the gas mileage issue of some of the earlier Vettes. I'm use to building "Big Cubic Inch, High Compression Engines" that got between 4-8 miles to the gallon. IMO, "There's more to life than gas mileage"!!!

With that said, I would never own a 1st Generation Corvette because IMHO......they were just as ugly as the 1st Gen T-Birds.

I've never like the body style of the C4......Never!!! They might have been great cars in other aspects,........ but because of how much I hate the body style, I could never justify owning one.

The C2's on the other hand are my absolute favorites, with the 63 Split Window taking the trophy. Besides that one, I'd love to have a Marina Blue & White 61 or 62 sitting in the garage next to my C5 & C3,........although I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I also like the 1980-1982 body style,....but I wouldn't want either of the later two years. I purchased my 1980 because I didn't wan't to have to deal with the computer BS or all the emissions related crap they have. I like the earlier C3's, except for the flat back windows. For some reason I've just never like that part of those cars. And what heck were they thinking when they decided to installed luggage racks on the back?

And finally,......The C6. IMO they're not a bad looking car,.....and I know they perform well. The thing I have to ask myself is:...."Do I like 'em that much more than my C5 to justify the difference in out-of-pocket expense it would cost me"? Not in a million years! I'm somebody who will never buy a car on credit. (Never Have, Never Will) If I can't pay cash for it, I don't need it.

So basically, the only other Vette I would want to own besides the two I have,..........would be a 61-67.

C5 is easier to get in and out of for those who have put on a few extra pounds if you will. The C4 on the otherhand demands you better be in pretty good shape as it takes a fair amout of gymnastics to ingress/ egress the C4 cockpit.
