Default Inter-generation waves?

Hey y'all,

So i've been reading countless threads about the sacred wave...and I have noticed that C6 guys just don't cherish it as much as C5 guys do, so im asking...

What if a C6 (driver) waved at you? How would you feel?

It may seem like a stupid question, but there are only stupid people.....including me.

I always wave at Vettes, regardless of the year.

It's not as complicated as many people on here make it. If you see another Vette, wave. If they don't wave back, who cares.

If a C6 driver waves at me, I wave back. Just like I hope they do when I wave first.

Here in Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks, I've had a couple of C6's wave first this week. I always wave or give a whenever I have a chance.

I never mind if I don't get a wave. I try my darndest to wave at all vette's, but I have missed a few! It is either during a shift, or I am looking at my tuning scan, or something else has distracted me. I get waves from all generations and wave to all of them!

Maybe it is just that people in California are just friendlier! Have a great day!

I have gotten waves from C2s to C6s and I wave at them ALL. Basically, for me it comes down to the fact that ALL Corvettes are cool so I acknowledge them all.

I would have to agree with that.

And if anyone in Washington state sees a "young guy" with his arm out the window it's probably me.

I'm really tired of reading "wave" threads.

I must be really bored. I'll be glad when I return to work.

Was driving down John Deer Road last weekend, out of the blue there was a C6 with a wave out the window-- barley caught it and waved back of course!!
He gave a big thumbs up!!
Not 30 seconds later there was a evo next to me revving his cans, looked over and just nodded-- a second later a very HOT C2 went buy in oncoming traffic waving-- almost missed it-- but got the wave off just in time!!

Its a vette---
You just have to wave!

This is all down to tradition. You'll see lots of "so what" posts when The Wave is mentioned which probably means that tradition is not so important for these members. Thats and I respect that opinion.

I get a good feeling from being a part of a community and the Corvette Family is just that - a great big Family. You see gestures from total strangers here on CF to their fellow members that go way and above regular kindness. That sets this car apart from others. Take PUREFUN in Las Vegas. He set up Sin City Vettes Corvette Club. I asked for a T Shirt and he took the time to get one to me all the way across the Atlantic. He didn't have to - he just did.

My feeling is that the guys and gals who wave are Vette Enthusiasts. Those that don't are Vette Owners. There are probably a higher number in the C6 Camp than in the C5 Camp. They buy the car and move on to another quite quickly. Most of us here love the car and have owned it a while. Some have worked hard to own it. Most get the most enormous buzz from driving it. Any way, its an achievement.

Generalization maybe but JMHO.

Save the Wave
