Would these be safe on a daily driver? These are not going to be getting wet from rain are they?

I had mine on for over a month (daily driver) with NO problems and NO codes...

I should have done it a lot sooner...

My filter is supposed to show up here this week. Before I rip everything apart to start the install, I want to get my hands on the air pump filter. What is the ID of the hose that connects to that filter, or what filter did you get so I can look it up?

Thanks,

Eric

Got mine installed today. I used a 4" flexible PCV connector from Lowe's for $10 rather than ordering silicon hose online. I took it out for a quick drive and noticed that it seems to pull a little harder in the upper-mid range, but that could be the cold air, the fact that I've been driving something else for the last week, so this just seemed faster.. or the fact that I just WANTED it to...

I'm going to try and get it on the dyno next week. I have a baseline to compare against, and it's the only mod I've done since the baseline was taken. If I get it done, I'll post up the results...

I'm doing this Got a new shroud comming and my BPP Vortex Rammer will be up for sale. I like the clean look of the carbon fiber and the filter is a little easier to service, not that the BPP is hard.

I did this last week and zero issues. I too liked the clean look and the fact that it was half the cost of my Vararam helps.

It's oblong - the widest part is just short of 4", the narrow part about 3.25" (+/-).

Isn't that for the PCV? Couldn't you drill a hole in the housing of the K&N filter and use the factory grommet to install the hose like on the Blackwing?

So the part number listed does have the carbon fiber on top?????
I'm really wanting the carbon fiber to match a carbon fiber air bridge.

Yes it does have the carbon fiber backing. I bought one last night on Amazon.com, but it was the last one.

I saw that as well, but when I got to the checkout screen it showed only 1 available.
