Well its just about time to put the vette away for the winter so I figured I take a shot at making a catback for the time I have left to drive it. I was really surprised on how good it sounded. After doing some searching for borla straight pipe catbacks I really didn't care for the idle and the decel on the rev....but I would have to say I like my setup much better, sound wise that is.
You can have all naming rights. I'll sell em like hotcakes for $250 a piece and all you need is 100 you tube videos and we would have a reputation.
Does the price go up if we use quality components like the good stainless steel?
P.S. is that a heater in your garage? you are dedicated!
LOL, well all the parts are stainless. All I did was cut were the stock pipe 90's into the mufflers and weld on the pipes that I put about a 15deg bend into, and wala $30 H-pipe back to be politically correct. Angrybob, that's not a bad idea, but I would want to build something with a little more to it....maybe.
To bad they don't have a "NO WELD" kit out there. Out local muffler shop won't touch a job like that... They mudder something about breaking the law or something...

You know I could try and make a clamp on setup, all you would have to do is make two cuts to remove the stock mufflers. Let me know if you are interested.
I'm sure you can, I think I might add another set to make it quad tipped......When I was buying the parts the tips looked like they were going to fill more of it in. Hey what ever, hate all you want but it cost me next to nothing, and Id rather spend the money else were than on a $800+ piece of 3' pipe.....DUMB!
