Photoshop is a program for manipulating already created images. The very sharp looking image that HMannini has posted looks more like something photoshop can do, but maybe newer CAD programs allow you to do this also.
I do photo collages for car owners in the Phoenix area, and use Microsoft Picture It! Photo Premium 2001 & also PS7, & I have a client I just finished for his Xmas present to himself, he has a late model Camaro & a C4 coupe. I had done a photo collage for him last year of the vette & he wanted something with both cars in it & wanted it to look like a painting. So this is what I came up with from 4 photos, the background (purchased from a stock agency), parking lot, and two cars.
I had it printed on matte 16X20 paper & it came out pretty nice. He was very pleased, what do you guys think? Of course his copy didn't have the copyright statement on it.
I would be interested in somehow obtaining a basic CAD program. I am also curious if the new 9.0 has some of the CAD capabilities?
Our office runs the latest version of CAD; it is prohibitively expensive and insurmountably more complicated than Photoshop. Mainly used in the Construction industry and is the staple diet of any good architect. Most importantly you would need to be a sadistic **** to think that CAD is fun Stick with Photoshop.
If you do ever fancy drawing buildings or 3D worlds in an AutoCAD style, check out this free software from Google. Can even upload your drawings to google earth!

UAE Vette: Thanks for the feedback and the link. I will stick w PS for now. In your opinion, how do you think the drawing (that started this thread) was done?
Not sure how he did it, Auto Cad would not be an obvious choice.
Auto CAD is used within the automotive design industry but it is normally very complicated 3D models for resistance simulation and calculation. Did someone really spend all that time creating a 3D Model (Free Hand) in Auto CAD then rendering it? Or use very expensive ModelMaker, non-contact scanners. I think not.
At a guess it’s a simple 2D image that could be recreated on any basic drawing package. (Talent required of course)
If free hand and CAD fair play as it looks good; because I have never seen my Architects churning one out doesn’t mean it can’t be done
Same image could be created by scanning in an image to Photoshop and applying filters (tricep I have faith in you). Or 3D Max.
Anyway you art aficionados have inspired me to get creating!
