I just picture them getting in the HVAC fan thinking, "how do we move this mouse wheel". Then someone comes along and turns on the AC. Guess they don't like the tumble dry option.
Just had my car detailed, mice nest was found in engine under the plastic cover on top. chewed some insulation on top of the wires.Everything seems to be ok,SO GLAD i got the detail not sure i would have found them if not.Just came back from lowes.i bought moth *****,traps, and the plug in sonic gizmos.Wish me luck getting rid of them.I do have one question. If i leave the cover off they should not be able to get up the car right??? im thinking they must climb up INSIDE the cover and get into the engine thru the hood by the windsheild wipers?????
They will get into the car covered or NOT! Trust me on that one! I have a F-150 with very tall tires and they get in that engine compartment ALL the time!
My 04 is in a detached garage and I just purchased 2 of those sonic things. I plugged one in the wall outlet. I plugged the other into an extension cord and placed it under the middle of the front of the car.
These are precautionary actions. I have a battery tender and I am thinking there will be some heat under the hood from the charging.
Any comments?
Where did you get it??How does it stay inflated??? sorry if its a dumd question.........................:o
They come with a small blower with a filter type material on the intake to keep dust and dirt out. The blower pumps air in 24/7 to keep the thing inflated. It's like one of those Christmas lawn displays. Looks the same when the blower is unplugged!
There was a vendor at Carsile who sells them. I think a couple of traps and would be a lot less expensive.

I got mine from mid america (link below). It has a small fan that runs continously. I am actually going to buy a 2nd one very soon, since my Z06 just recently got "demoted" to the Porsche 930 I bought.
