Since this post got bumped to the top again today, thought I pose a question I've been wanting to ask: I'm getting ready to order this lift, but have some concerns.... my vette is slammed. Anybody else have one of these lifts and have a lowered vette? I dont want to be getting out 2x4s everytime I want to drive up and down the lift... what's the tolerance here?

There are ramps that at the end of the lift that you drive up on.

Had no problem getting the bro's lowered FRC up and down on lift.

Thanks.
I knew about the ramps, but they look just like the ones they have at alignment shops, and there hasnt been one of those that I've found that can handle me. Your notation about your brothers though, at least has me a little more relaxed. I guess I could always raise her up if it doesnt work. I just have a hard time believing I wouldnt have any problems since I usually scrape my panels, LTs and cats coming into my driveway unless I take it at an angle.

Great write-up. I installed the same lift 3 weeks ago and ran into the same problems.

Don't know why they don't fix the instructions and avoid the calls to tech support!!!!!

On a previous lift, I didn't have access to a trailer.

I called my local towing service, they picked up the lift at the depot and dropped it off the flat-bed truck right in the driveway.

I would guess there would be no problem if the entrance into the garage is level. Backing onto the lift would also make it work as well.

Default Lift

I just finished installing my Direct lift. Your pics really helped as the instructions are worthless. I might add that in checking the grade of the bolts used for the ramps to the crossbars they are a grade 2 bolt. I wasn't happy with that so I changed them out to grade 8 bolts.
