I'm debating if I should replace my 208,000 mile 02 Avalanche with an 07 loaded Avalanche for 1.9% interest and only have my payment inscrease by around $150 a month or keep the 02 and get the vette and my payment be probably $500 a month higher or bite the bullet and hope nothing happens so i cant afford to get both like I had happen with the 06 vette. <-- long sentence. Sure I would get like 45 days before either payment is due but I dont have a payment due till Feb 9 right now. I'm leaning towards the 07 Avalanche just cause I need a truck for work (30,000 miles per year). I miss my vette though. Anyone wanna help a brother out?

Sounds like a good deal to me.....but call them first and verify the price. When I was looking for my Corvette I found one on Bill Heard's web site. It was a good price ($20,500 which was right at Edmunds TMV.) I called to make an appointment to come take a look at it, when I got down there the first thing the guy said was oh I noticed that we printed the price wrong it should be $26,000 (way over TMV and blue book) Pissed me off so much I didn’t even look at the car just got in my Truck and went on my way. Looked on their web sight 3 days latter and they still had the wrong price listed on the car.

Good luck though it does sound like a good car as long as you check it out like every one else is discussing. BTW mine does have memory seats but no HUD so it can be done but don’t know how common that is.

I talked to the guy on the phone and he said they have $20,??? in it and the price is $19,900. He said it's been on their lot for 57 days and they like to keep them less than 45. Of course he is a salesman so take that for what it's worth.

Sounds like good reasoning to me. It can’t hurt to take a road trip and look. My wife's parents are from Macon so I am down there quite often...Maybe next time I’m down there I’ll give you the wave as you drive by in your new (used) vert!

Cool. There are a few around here too. Andy has a 2007 VY Z06.
I'm still waiting for people's opinions on the Avalanche and/or vette. Post #21.

This is a low optioned car and the price reflects it. My 01 has HUD, dual climate, memory seats, and all of the other C5 options available except 10 disc changer. 67K shouldnt be consider high miles on a motor that should go 200K easy.

Drive it and see how it runs out. Call the P.O. and ask about oil consumption. Early 01's had a problem that was corrected by the end of the year. I believe they did a recall and replaced the pistons oil ring. On average the problem cars would use a quart every 1000 K.

Check the drivers seat out. some of them had rocking chair syndrome due to the tracks loosening from the mounting bolts.

If it is an early 01 check to see if it has the column lock. If you can move the steering wheel back and forth with out the key in the on position its okay. If not ask the dealer if it has had a K harness install. If it is and early model and has the column lock it needs a CLB if it doesn't have one it will. If it is a late model there is no column lock in them.

Check for other signs of abnormal wear, tires. loose steering, rotton exhaust, loose, rounded, missing bolts in engine compartment.

Hope that helps some... Tux...

Here is the vin for the vette. 1G1YY32GX15134244
Isnt that a late year car?
I'm probably going to stick with a loaded 07 Avalanche LT with the 6.0 and heavy duty trans with HD cooler.
