Default update

Update from Tracy @ Rev-Xtreme...waiting on heads...due any day now. I decided to go with fixing my AFR 225's instead of new heads. Pete Incaudo dropped by Tracy's and inspected the heads. He said to fix them, they wern't that bad at all. He gets them all the time in worse condition than mine.

Thanks Brad..can't wait to get it back. Ive been down since New Years Eve.

Damn, spray and all. Wow & 240's to boot..I backed off that much cam, hope I didn't make a mistake. Guess I could always slap another one in. Just a pain doing the vette..we can do our Silverado over a weekend, retune and back running on Sunday afternnon. Not much to it because of all the room to work and hardly a thing to remove.

That Pete Incaudo knows his stuff with heads/cams..that's for sure. What a nice guy too...he spent an hour on his cell talking to me about heads\cam and also stopped to look at my heads for me at Rev-Ex and I don't even know him and not buying anything from him. Gave me his cell numer..said call if I had any problems. They don't come any better than that !!

So is the rest of yours all set up for the track all ready (shafts, clutch, gear, brace, slicks, skinnies, etc..) ?? Your expecting 9's I pesume ??

They don't get much better then Tracy and Pete thats for sure.

As far as track times I really don't know. It will be interesting to see how she does with the 4:10 as well. I'm thinking high 10s low 11s maybe.

Right now I just want to get it running. I'm headed over to the shop Saturday so I'll look in on your project.

Brad, why do you think so slow (you just trying not to be cocky) ? I was at 11.2 in hot weather with just a little 224 cam and AFR's on stock bottom end. You should be low-low tens at least. That thing will be an animal with spray !!

Hey Nick,
Short story..I put on some new rockers and they were hitting my heads and I didn't notice. My motor was always noisy as hell anyway. We were doing the final Test and tune blast and I pulled a rocker bolt out at redline going into third gear, dropped a valve, busted a piston on top of about 32 chunks of AFR heads all thru my motor. Then the machine shop cracked my block putting in a sleeve. F..... is all I can say about all that !!! I hope Tracy 2 Rev-X can get me another 50 rwhp...I'm going to need it to try and take out Ernie King and Zturd (on nitrous) I won't mind losing to them though if I can pull the front wheels off the ground like yours..haha.
Stay in touch.

Your PM is full and you don't accept emails. That Fartpipe guy spends his day in the for sale section looking for a new trans. His car ain't running anything until he addresses that tranny issue he has.

Nick,
I got your email...motor sounds nice. I copied Jimbo (zzoomo6) so he could send you some info on an Ls3 just for consideration.

A lot of people talk and speculate, I prefer to wait for the real results, then let the numbers do the talking. Plus, I'm not a spectacular driver either, so we will see. I do feel it will be potent though.

I didnt get to the shop saturday unfortunately as I was closing on my new house in Port Richey and some issues came up. I hope to be there on Tuesday. I'll look in on the car for oyu.
