Well, if dropping a valve at 6500 rpm on New Years Eve wasn't bad enough, my AFR head got hammered, piston broke and cylinder scarred. So off to the machine shop for a sleeve in # 6 and then Tracy at Rev-Extreme was going to start on my stroker. Everything looked good till the machine shop cracked my block putting in the sleeve. Tracy was able to find a used LS6 block for $250. Here is where we are today. AFR heads went in for repair..parts arriving daily.

Keep us updated with plenty of pictures. It's fun to watch someone's build. It's a lot more interesting than one "I picked up my car" post. I posted tons of pictures of my engine build about 10 months ago.
Good luck and have fun, Tom
Dang Nemesis, your car looks great !!! Do you have a stroker story to tell or just how you stomp them with 660+ rwhp?? Haha.
Pit
Thanks Pit I have a couple of "stroker stories" but don't want to violate CF decorum I was actually at RevXtreme a couple of weeks ago and saw your car there. Great decision to go with the stroker build, your increas in low end torque will put a big on your face every time you press the "Go Pedal" Tracy is a great guy & has outstanding customer service, keep us posted
Wow sorry to hear and see about your loss. I would like to see how they repair those heads. Are they going to weld them? Looks like your upgrade was a must . Goodluck on your build, Brandon.
Thanks guys. Yeah they weld them is what I was told..not sure of actual process the head shop uses. That destruction will be on my mind for the first few launches on the new setup. With the new steel flywheel and more torque, I should be able to launch a little lower than 6500 rpm !! That will ease my mind a little.
