C-5 Battery Replacement Questions
My 02 convertible recently started having battery issues. Everytime I went to drive it the battery would be dead. So I finally replaced the battery. But when I went to start it the DIC said to "Pull Key Wait 10 Sec." I did that and then started it. After about 20 seconds the DIC started giving me messages such as "Reduce speed, Traction control problems, Check Tire Pressures, etc." Then the windows and door locks would not work. I removed the positive lead on the battery and waited 20 seconds to reset everything. I still can't get the windows, door locks, and driver memory to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That sounds like a short in the driver's door wire loom. See

Good adviceRecheck that the leads are tight and clean. I'd also check the voltage on the battery to make sure you didn't get a bad one. Use a multi meter across the terminals with ignition off
If thats all good check the codes and then clear them down and see which ones come back. Post them up and it may give a clue as to where the problem is.
