Custom body work question ?
but would it be possible to fill the area that attaches the rear section to the rest of the car with a type of filler ?

or does that section flex enough that filler may crack with stress ?
just thinking out loud here with some old hot rod / smooth over ideas
the thought is that it would be perfectly smooth (with no line) after it was painted
could be a nice subtle difference - if it works
ideas ?

If the rear is in need to be removed then it would have to be cut loose at the seem. (no big deal)
Over time it will probally flex enough that a repair or replacement will be necessary. It should last a minumium of 5 years using the above outlined process.
I know that because it has on my C3. I did this because I wanted the seemless look, and because I got the ureathane bumper with lights for $80.00.
I was going to do the same process with fiberglass so let's call the this 1st run practice. The outcome was worth it! When it finally breaks open or cracks I will replace it with glass and know it will be flawless.
Here is a pic of my Blackray with the molded ureathane to glass job. It turned out great, and black isn't very forgiving to work with...
