Use this calculator in conjunction with the tire mfr's specs:

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I think you will find you have a few other size options that will work just fine too, such as a 275/35 for the front.

Can someone explain the benefit of running 18's all around? I've seen this several times and have wondered what it does for you.

This is exactly the tire sizes I run on my car. I have CCW Classics in 18"x10" & 11". Looks great and works perfectly.

Looks Better, then stagged wheel sizes. Plus if you want a BBK upgrade the front needs 18" rims for the caliper and rotor to fit.

Also runs 18" all around here too

street
18x10 18x275/35 & 18x12 18x335/30

race wheels
18x12 18x305/30 & 18x13 18x335/30

Sorry for the hijack

Au N EGL, what sizes do you reccomend for a Z06 setup with T1 bars, lowered, 18" rear Z06 wheels in front and rear? I have 305 DR's in the rear right now.

I'll be running 18x10.5's on all four corners. The increased contact area up front should make some noticeable handling improvements.

18x305/30 or /35 rear

18x285/35 front

Would give you enough of a difference width.

If I had to do it over again, I would not go wider then 305 for street tires. 315s and 335s are just too wide for normal street use.

Hey Gregg, looking to put all of that newly found power to the gorund huh? On the road course I run 315/30/18 rear and 295/30/18 front. Plenty of grip, and it looks badass.

I was looking into running 18's up front but I found no reason other than looks to narrow the fender/tire gap a little more. My 18/17's with Nitto 555R2's work and look just fine when lowered.

Been running 18s all the way around since I got my CCWs back in '03. I'm running 18x11 rears adn 18x9.5s up front. I prefer the look.

Those are old pics... I have a TS nose, DRM hood, targa etc. now.

Ive launched with em drag racing and cut a 1.91 without really trying very hard. I only ran once just to see what the car would do and then left but I bet with a couple more runs I could get some 1.7's with them. I have a drag car and don't intend to use the vette as one but they seemed to do ok for that. I love em for running the back road twisties everyday and would run no other tire.
