The final kit will have connectors as shown to unplug the reflectors for removal of the doorpanel. I'm also working on instructions for the wiring routing etc. Next unit I'm going to use 22 guage wiring not the 20 guage used in these units. What do you all think?? Send me your reflectors or I have new ones also.

NOw to get the wires through the door jamb.

This the panel above the kickpanel that you can just pop out.
Thats it!

Here is where you tap into the footwell lighting. Red to orange and black to black.PUll the hush panel down and you cant miss it~

One more thought: Can I get some LEDs put on the radio antennea?
You would have to allow fo the antennea to go up and down and I don't want to see any wires. Pictures welcome

I know you are going with blue so I thought I'de give you a preview of blue. I still think you should put blue leds in your new bathrooms!!

I'll have a kit out next week to light up the valve stems!!
Yes you could. It would be the first thing you will notice when opening the door. You should try it#@$!!

I posted in this thread earlier that I wanted to try this mod.
Tom pm'd me and asked if I wanted help, and told me that he would do the work on my reflectors if I sent them to him.
Of course I said yes, and immediately sent the reflectors out of my wifes 99 coupe to Tom.
I sent the reflectors to Tom right before I left for Vegas for a week.
I received the reflectors back a couple of days after I returned from my 6 day trip to Sin City! That was FAST!
I finally installed the reflectors in the car last night and this evening, taking pictures along the way, and using Tom's instructions here in this thread.
Here is a link to a dump of the pictures I took when doing the job.

The wiring is clean, and the connector looks like an OEM piece.
The install went very well - I chose to run the wires behind the sound insulator rubber - it peels away and there is black goo that seals it to the door frame. The black goo is reusable, still pliant on our 99 coupe.
I also snipped enough of the factory tape away from the inner door grommet so that I could run the wire through it alongside the factory harness. I found that the back-side of the grommet/boot has a u-shaped slot in it to allow a wire to pass through.
Tom - Do you have any pictures of how you tapped into the footwell lights? I am having trouble getting the footwell light fixture out of the holder so that I can work with it.
Thank you so much for doing our reflectors! Maggie is excited to see them in action.

I was dragging my feet a little on the soldering, but using the new iron I bought it went very slick!
I will get some better pics - with the car all cleaned up in a nice location to show off the reflectors.
Keep in touch about the web page - I will be ready!

Got your LED reflector kit after pm'ing you and paypal'ing for it.
It went in easily. Looks great. I'll post pics soon.
There is one last picture missing from the install pics above though. The very last one should show the footwell light and point out to solder/splice into the orange to red and black to black. Simple to figure out but for someone not in there before it completes the "picture"
Great kit, just the right amount of wire. LED strip looks straight and seamless in the install.

One more thing to help others: I found out a nice tool for pulling the wire through the door areas and others later; a tyne from a metal rake for leaves. About 9 inches long, stiff, not breakable. (Apologies to those who read this and don't know what a metal leaf rake is and why we use one in the north!)
