How does these headers compare to the already proven Dynatech Supermaxx and LG Pro's. I know there are also Kooks, AR and TPIS, but it seems like the consensus of the many are the first 2 mentioned. How do they compete price, performance, built and reliability to the LG's and Dynatech's. Sorry I'm only aksing because I am not familiar with the brand.
When our final testing is complete (which will be very soon) i will do a complete write up with before and after dyno numbers, install pics, and details of the install process. Should be very soon now and they will be back on the market.
I just got off the phone with one off the guys at EFIAlchemy and he said the same thing and gave me alot of info on the process. I have to say I was amazed with the info and customer service I receieved. they sure do have my business when these things come out. Good luck at Pinks guys.

Check my sig for numbers, I've dynoed twice since and got as high as352 RWHP. Personally I don't put alot of stock in the actual number but the gross change... a typical stock 99 MN6 will see high 290 to low 300 RWHP.
The price for Forum members was $400 for the Headers, X Pipe and some clamps and free shipping... I haven't heard anything about pricing yet on the new set...
As Rick mentioned a complete system is being developed as well as a Catback (future).
Well my car is officially a corvette on an fbod budget. I am only 23 and am still looking for a teaching job, and with the budget cuts in nj things aren't looking too great. People think I sell drugs cuz I have a corvette lol. Anybody else running the corvette w/the fbod budget? I could have budgeted even more, but a couple places I went w/tried and tested products.
Wheels: Chrome Z06's... look nice and are cheap
Catback: Granatelli.... absolutely love it, and cheap
Intake: Vararam, pricey but dropped two tenths and gained 2mph untuned
RPI Designs "stainless inserts" in the chrome color, forget what theyre made of
Coming Soon
SSAC Headers (I certainly hope the price stays at or under $500
Custom Tuning w/HP Tuners: $175 initial, free bolt on tunes there on out
So for a total of about $1500 (Wheels came on the car), the car should go mid 12's with the stock tires. And it'll look great too
O yeah... forgot about window tint, chalk up another $200
How is tuning for hp tuners $175 for you? Just wondering since I asked around and it was about 300 for a tune.
Just remember when you are having someone play around with your cars computer, you are going to get what you pay for.
Until I find a new job, I am on the mod budget too, but all that means for me is I don't mod until I can afford what I want, I don't cut corners on my car <which is a daily driver> and get what I can afford...it is much safer that way.

Some thinks can be scrimped on if neccesary (headers, wheels, catbacks, appearance mods etc) but the tune is not one of them
Wow, easy fellas. The car is being done by a reputable tuner. He has tuned many cars, not sure on the exact #. Some of the cars he has tuned include a bunch of auto Fbodies in the low 12's, and a couple that stand out are a cam only SS 6 speed going 11.70's and a WS6 going 10.50's with a 6speed on a 100 shot. I definitely have faith in his tuning ability. He is not looking to make a ton of money on the tunes, he is really more into helping people make their cars go faster and run better.
Depends on your tuner, mine is a forum supporting tuner and he gives a discount to forum members. Some of the less expensive ones will also just tune the car (change some settings and your off), other's like the one I use, will Dyno-tune it making several pulls and readjusting and tweaking things after each one. When I had mine done, he did I think it was 7 pulls until he got it where he liked it.
I'm off tues to sat (but going to UNF car show sat). I'll call u in the morning to check your availability, and find out when we can get it on the dyno.

Others will tune the car on the street or track(which is where mine will be done) to make sure the car is spot on where it needs to be.
I cant find a dyno tune for under $550.00, all the tuners will adjust rev limits and shift points for 150.00 but still want 550.00 if you come back for a dyno-tune. I would have done just the 150.00 tune if they would giva a 150.00 credit toward dyno tune. I may just buy the software myself. Maybe thats what he meant by 175.00 tune?
No the car will be tuned on the street with HP tuners, torque management and a/f ratios will be adjusted run after run. And yes, he is only charging me $175, he isn't trying to rape people, just help them run faster.
