Looking for a service Manual for the C5 2000 if that matters, I searched the forum and no luck. Where can a I purchase one. The more in depth the better, I'm going to completely disassemble a C5

You might want to check and see if you can get a copy of an assembly manual, in addition to the service manual(s).

Wow, the Fichtner price is way better than the Amazon price.
The books show up on ebay every so often -- but even used ebay manuals don't usually beat that Fichtner price by much.
Fichtner is where I bought mine. I got tired of the bidding game on eBay. Just tell me the price so I can place my order. If $10 means that much to me, I should be driving a Yugo.
I have both the DVD and the book. The DVD is much better. It is searchable which is very helpful when you are trying to find a related topic in another section of the book. The DVD manual provides hyperlinks so you can jump to the other section. The paper manual shows a light shade where the DVD manual has the link but does not tell you where to go in the 1400 pages to find the related topic. Other than that the paper manual for a specific year is identical to the DVD manual for that same year. The DVD also provides a search capability for Key Words and DTC codes so you don't have to hunt around trying to find them, just type into the entry block and the manual gets you all related DTC data including tech bulletins that are not part of the manual itself and have to purchased separately if you buy a paper manual. Another advantage of the DVD manual is that it gives you all C5 years from 97-04 plus all other GM cars. A hell of a lot of data for $20+. Paper just can't hold a candle to it.
