It makes you wonder why you have to take and pass a test to drive, but not one to have kids. They are doing nothing but teaching their kids disrespect for others property.

Children aren't being taught manners and respect for other people and their property. They will reap the rewards for this later in life, but we won't be there to see it. D***.
Sorry about your experience. And this is probably one of the best places to vent.

that's when the call to 911 or your state's drunk driving hot line should have gone in. for your state's #... http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/people/inju.../contents.html

you would've been p-----d at yourself had they killed themselves or their misbehaved offspring or worse yet an innocent (could've been you) bystander after seeing them in that state.

amazing the people that are out there. there are no bad kids, just bad parents

WOW, just WOW. I wish I could say I would have acted as well as you, but I honestly do not think so. I have two kids and they know how I feel about respecting other people's property "If it's not yours leave it the HELL alone"

And here is how these kids will no doubt end up acting later in life:

Last week I fell in the parking lot at a gas station. ( I have a bad hip and it went out. I landed on both my knees and smacked my face. I couldnt get up. I asked the next passer by if I they could please help me and the person kept walking. A car load of 20 somethings is about 10 feet away at the pump. A girl sticks her head out of the car and yells-Thats what you get for driving a F****Ing Corvettte. They roar by and continue laughing as I am trying to get myself up. Society has gone to he**.

This a great story and it reflects most of todays kids and parents. I am 46 and when I was a kid if I had touched somebody else's property car or otherwise I would have received a nice azz kicking real quick and if some other adult told me not touch something I just said yes sir. Now kids will tell you to go F-yourself if you say something to them and the parents will probably sue you

These days it seems that kids are running around at stores and places to eat like they are and if you say something to them the parents get all upset it reall sucks makes me take the DD to most places instead of the Vette

So while I am waiting I notice two 4 year old girls running around and playing tag around my car and sitting on the hood. That is not acceptable to me at all. So I approach the parents (by the way I am 24, so relitively young) and ask very if they could please make sure that thier kids don't touch my car anymore and that I would apreeciate it. They both look at me for a moment and then burst out laughing in my face! Then the get silent and ask me "oh are you actually being serious?" I replied, yes of course I was being serious! Then then ask me how a spoiled rich boy can afford a car like that and if that is even my car. (I pay for it myself, no help since I was 18) Then they say I will remember this moment when I am an adult and have children and I will feel like an azz****. They said I was completly out of line to tell them what to do with thier kids. Then there mini van pulls up and they leave. I am still angry about it so I just had to get it out.
should have added "what's your deductible?"....parents are supposed to teach their kids NOW,later they will pay a high price.
we are with you....

The indifference and blatant cruelty shown in this post is stunning. What's more disturbing that DebRedC504 appears to be a woman.

Someday, The Chairman of the Board is gonna gather up the entire human race debacle and stuff it into the Cosmic Shredder.

"Not in My Name," he'll lament, "And certainly not in My Image."

Really makes you wonder about their parents and how they were raised.

What goes around comes around. Somehow I think they'll get it returned 10x..

In today’s world, people no longer have respect for life, never mind personal property. The parents and the kids need a good a$$ kicking. You did good and acted as a gentleman….I suspect I would have reacted differently and I’d be in deep $hit.

As others have said you showed a high level of maturity and are to be commended.

I find it interesting how immature their attitude was. I wish I would have been able to respond to this comment:

"Then they say I will remember this moment when I am an adult and have children and I will feel like an azz****. They said I was completely out of line to tell them what to do with their kids."

I would love to have put the ball back in their court and said: No actually when you start acting like the adult that you claim to be you will realize that your children require discipline. Your children require discipline to help them to understand right from wrong. Once your children understand right from wrong then they can be taught to have respect for others. Once they understand this then they can learn about personal accountability and actually become the responsible respectful person your not! Have a nice day" and walk away.
