Currently have Esurance on both our vehicles. No claims yet, but they seem very upfront with everything. Well, everything except they raised my premium $136 after the first year. Still much cheaper for me than any place else.
I use Safeco because I have my homeowners with them also. Its very difficult to get homeowners insurance along the coast. I pay $5400 a year for car ins on an 03 Vette vert, 07 Dodge Nitro RT and a 99 Chevy S10 pickup. The problem is , I have a 16 yr old son that just started drivingand it doesn't matter if he isn't allowed to drive the vette. Your policy is a blanket policy for the household and covers all vehicles for all drivers in the house. So if you have a teenager getting ready to drive, GET READY TO PAY OUT THE A@*!!!!!!!
Don't know if Mercury writes policies out there, but try them
They beat my best prices by more than $300 and I shop insurance at every renewal period
Also - I work for an insurance company, get an employee discount, and Mercury still beat that

I have Travelers. I am paying about $425 every six months for an '02 Z in congested Southern California. This rate is discounted for clean driving record, group policy discount (also have Travelers Homeowners and Umbrella), and multi-vehicle discount. I should note I chose a low deductible... only $100 on both collision and comprehensive.

Did you have any claims .....just wondering what they are like when it is time to pay up

I have not had any claims either at fault or no fault which is probably why the rate is pretty good. I probably should have added that I'm over 40 and married which also helps.
Isn't it a shame though... the insurance industry, particular auto, is the only industry where BLATANT age discrimination is allowed? Sure, statistically, younger drivers might pose more risk, but individually, some are more responsible for others but the good ones get screwed.

Yeah, in fact, just this week, I lowered it from $1000 to $100 and I could not believe the difference was only $35 dollars... major piece of mind in case some miscreant decides to hit my car in a parking lot and run.
