Looking at it, I'd fathom a guess that he either used a pair of jake skull stickers to mask off the lights and painted them with some Krylon, or that was a very clever use of leftover sticker material.
That looks nice but it would be nicer if it was C5 jake
Your right, and I don't know why I didn't think about it. Shouldn't take me but a few minutes to extend the black lines down on both sides to make it a C5 Jake.
Guys,
I simply downloaded the logo into photoshop and sized it properly, printed a few tests on paper and then printed it out on sticker paper. I then cut the sticker out and placed it on the backup lights. I lightly sanded with 1200 grit around the logo to help with the bonding and sprayed with semi-flat black paint.
UPDATE: I wouldn't recommend using paint in cans as it's difficult if not nearly impossible to clear. Talk with an Auto Paint store and at least get them to make you some cans with high quality paint.
About 6 coats and a few checks with a mini-mag light in the socket to check on the coverage. I haven't put a clear over it yet but plan to. I won't have the engine and rear end up into the car for a couple more weeks. Can't wait to see how they will look at night.

Reason: added comment about using paint in cans

I'm wondering how it would look if the lens were painted on the inside instead of the outside? No worries about scratching the paint that way...but the inside surface would have to be smooth for the stencil to stick to it.
