This forum is awesome! As a new C5 owner I have ton of questions. Everytime I start to post a question I first do a search and 9 times out of 10 the info is there.

This exhaust will definitely be on my list when I decide it's time to do it. The Corvette is such an awesome car that is deserves to sound as good as it looks.

You cannot beat this exhaust for the price. The sounds and looks rival any $1000 exhaust system.

I put this system on my 02 six speed. Great quality & awesome sound without the drone. Just cut off the stock mufflers if you need to & sling them, you'll also be amazed at the difference in weight between old & new.
Love this system!

So can I put these on with a stock H-pipe? Or do I need to buy a x-pipe to make this system fit?

My AR headers are with cats but I needed no extensions.

H-pipe is fine - no x-pipe needed.

Hey Ed!

I had the NXT's installed and I love them!! They sound incredible! I have to get the tips aligned at a shop though. They are not too bad but I like things perfect!
Here's a video of how it sounds on the freeway.

Thanks again for all your help!!
Ray

I had a Nxt Step exhaust installed a few days ago. Overall I'm really pleased. They look great, sound good and are come at a low price, although they seem to have gone up a bit in price since this thread was started. Bought mine for $600 plus tax with free shipping. Took the local grease monkey about 2.5 hours to install them so that was another 175 bucks.

A couple of bad things about them though: the sound is kinda muscular rather than sporty. More like an old mustang with an aggressive cam than a ferrari. But it gets better when you come up through the revs.
Also, I had to realign the tips after the first test drive since they twisted quite a bit and was actually rubbing against the body. After that they've stayed aligned though.

On the freeway they are totally quiet in sixth gear up until about 70, then there's a very slight drone but not bad at all.

I would recommend them to anyone.

I'll try to make some videos this weekend.
