These NXT's don't bother me one bit and sound awesome. I was talking to Mrs. Patches going to dinner this evening about getting a set for my C5. I gave her the option to swap them back for my Ti's if she didn't like them. She's decided to keep her's.

No discernable power gain SOTP-wise - but that's not expected with a catback. There may be a few hp gain/loss measurable on a dyno but I've never felt any difference from swapping catback systems. Psychologically, it "feels" a lot faster, though, due to the more aggressive exhaust tone if that's any consolation.

Wished they come with bigger tips (4 inch) like my dual tip stingers. But hats off to one system that doesn't carry the Corvette-tax. For $550 for the kit. It's worth the money IMHO. I bought my Dual tip stingers for about $100 more ( $650 shipped)new about 4 years ago. Now you can't even get the dual tip stingers for less than $750.

it's almost as quiet as stock... when I hit about 75-80, it starts getting a bit louder in the cabin, but overall it's great because it's quiet until you get on the pedal.

Only if you plan on cutting off the old exhaust. If you want to get the old exhaust out in one piece you will need a lift. It only requires one cut on each side.

They look great... but the price isn't blowing me away. I got my twin tip Stingers back in '03 for $520.

Cant find them for that kind of price these days though.

I've been lookin at the magnaflow race setup, but worried it might be a bit much for me.

I've been considering this simply because of the great feedback with good sound and no drone, seems like the stingers are more known to have drone in them, not that I'm an expert just repeating what I hear.

Thanks to this great posting, I was able to decide on an exhaust..

I purchased the same exhaust off ebay for the same price (delivered in 7 days)

Because of the great info I received from all you great guys, I was able to do the install all on my own, inside my garage. It took me about 3hrs with the help of my air tools...

The clamps were a bit tricky, but after realizing its design, I was able to use them all...

I wish you guys were around, so I could buy all of you the first round of beers...

The exhaust is worth every penny, the sound is spectacular, if your in the market for a cat back system.. consider this one.. save the extra money, and spend it on other upgrades...

Again! Thanks all for the great info.... shouting at all of you from Houston!

That was a great price, Brian. But, consider this. I got my two-tip Stingers for ~$650 back then and had to return them for a good set to Borla due to a manufacturing defect that didn't allow the tips to be aligned. Borla was cool about it and paid for return shipping but it was a hassel to have to remount them. Plus, the drone was totally unbearable and I ended up replacing them with Ti's and cutouts just a few months later which I still have to this day. I am honestly considering a swap to the NXT system in place of the ti's now because the sound is so nice. Plus, the tips look soooo much nicer than the Ti's.

The four-tip Stingers are going for considerably more so the apples-to-apples comparison is more appropriate with respect to price between these systems. And my subjective opinion is that the overall quality between these two systems with resoect to construction goes to NXT.

IMO they need to include better clamps but still well worth the money
