But how do you really feel about it?

Stay with what you have. I don't care for the CF one either.

What you would see in the next Batman movie man not be a bad thing for the OP. Look at his avatar.

Good point, I hadn't noticed. Nice Mag Red Vert you have there, I have the same car, with tan top/interior.

VIS is too busy for my taste ---

--- But whatever you get, I'm sure you'll love over the OEM look...

Well, it is true the VIS would be more my taste. I do like a more aggressive look and the VIS fills that need. It looks like I might need to make my own decision then. I'm sure i'd be happy with both, but I might just keep what I have since that's the majority vote here. I do like what I have, just wanted something different

I don't care for the VIS Fuzion hood at all. Looks like something from Death Race 2000. There are many other much nicer choices out there.
I would stick with pop-up headlamps too. I think your Vette looks awesome as it is.
You asked.

I have the VIS hood you are looking at. When I bought mine it was called the extractor. I would not listen to the nay sayers. The hood does three very good things-it takes a number of pounds off the front end, greatly aids in cooling the engine compartment, and I have found on my vert keeps the front end on the ground at high speeds due to the improved air flow from under the front end thru the engine compartment. Mine is getting painted soon.

If you could get the VIS hood w/o the center nose vent Id like it better. A good buddy of mine had it on his red Z06 and it looked pretty good fit/finish wise.

I think that VIS hood looks absolutely awful, it's trying way too hard. Far too many vents and things going on for my taste, makes it look ugly.

Default Hoods?????

I don't like your orig. smoothy hood, too plain!
If you go with the Vis hood, I would do a matching paint job.
Personely I like the MCM with the maggie extra clearance bulge and heat extraction. I have one of the new ones and the quality is fantastic. They also have a carbon fiber center available. Almost a paint as is item.

Stick with the first choice or as mentioned earlier, the MCM hood. Now THAT is a sweet-looking hood, especially if you leave the center area unpainted to show off the carbon fiber. JMHO
