I had that happen in my BMW back in 1987 i know its al ong time ago, i had the car parked in my driveway , i used to live by the park, there must of been at least 50 or more by the park , so i ordered chinese food, and went inside and had the food, with my friend, maybe 20 minutes tops, i came out ,and woila, my window was broken and the blaupunct radio, i hope i spelled it right , that the kind of radio, the bmw had , it was stolen and my drivers side window, busted, nobody seen anything
Interesting... back in the mid '80s, my Dad also had BMW 5 series and his Blaupunct also got taken when he was in Manhattan to see a Broadway show... window was also broken in thousand pieces yet no one saw a thing.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE LIFE SENTENCE FOR PEOPLE WHO STEAL CARS OR CAR ACCESSORIES... LETS SEE THEN HOW THIS HOW OFTEN THIS KIND OF THEFT TAKES PLACE. We can thank our liberal judges in the meanwhile.
POP POP done deal, won't have to pay to keep them alive in prison.
I truly hate thieves with a passion. I had a convertible quite a few years ago and someone cut the freaking top open and stole my CD's, walkman, my head unit, and a couple of my sports hats. I had always hoped I would see someone wearing one of my hats (since they were personalized) so I could pummel them into oblivion. It was not to be.
Anyhow, fast forward to me in my 30's and i've got a sig within a half arms reach at the head of my bed, as does my lady......and she's a damn good aim as well. It'd be all over very quickly for said scumbag in or around my home.
Saw a guy eyeing my '99 one evening last year and had his hands on the window. Looked like a sneaky type person, so I used a red laser pen and pretended it was on a weapon. I'm in a 3rd floor apartment overlooking where it was parked. Told the dude loud enough that he wasn't going to see the sun rise if his hands didn't get off my car. He ran off in a hurry. Never saw him before and not since.
Well, I don't know if these pics made me feel better or worse, but I went and checked out the progress on my head cam clutch, etc. install. All in all, I thought the engine looked pretty darn good for 95000 miles on it. I can't wait to get it back now! That is, if it goes back together....
Scum,............with no morals. Dont worry though, most get their just desserts in the end.
They think that no one can touch them,......but luck doesnt favor the stupid.
I believe there were a few sound installers that would put razors underneath for a nasty surprise,..........I saw some pics somewhere that shows the guys interior, an untouched radio and a heavy trail of blood out of the car and into the woods.............ouch !
Hate thieves here, having been (home) burglarized several times and also having car radio stolen. GPS units get stolen so much here, that thieves will break into a car when they see the suction cup marks on the windshield. But let's not forget about the scum who buy the "hot" merchandise and the scrap metal shop owners who would melt the Statue of Liberty if someone brought it in. They are just as big a part of the problem.
Dirt bag cut open my sons convertible top in a lounge parking lot and got a $300 GPS, top cost $$$$. Of course it was raining!!
My brother had a soft top,he let me take one night, the next morning he gave me hell for locking the car.Said he never locks it for fear of someone cutting the top..............
