Default Rant about THIEVES

It's a good thing my Vette is out having the heads and cam installed because last night someone broke into my F150 in my DRIVEWAY and stole my Avic D3. I'll give them credit because they knew exactly what they were doing and cut every wire nicely and didn't break anything! I haven't figured out how they got in yet because I know it was locked so I don't know if they figured out a way to get in through the keypad or what. I hate thieves, and I'm a defense attorney!

So, now, my truck is getting the same head unit installed and I am out 1200 bucks, oh, they stole my ipod too. Sorry, had to rant.

haha this happend to me once. You ever watch the Tow truck people pop locks. They make it look easy. That sucks though. I don't think you can use the ipod. When you hook it up to a comp you have to put the seriel number and is apple knows it's stolen you wont be able to put any songs on it.

you can, you just cant add songs from someone Else's Itunes while keeping your own Itunes playlist. you either have yours or theirs.

I have an old house rehab project I'm doing by myself. God a deal on some slightly used 5ft chain link fence,6 rolls. Took a heavy tow chain and used a come along to pull them into a tight bundle and locked with a heavy master lock. big heavy awkward 3 to 4hundres pound lump! OK for a while ,then the other night it disappeared chain lock and all! It had to be a group and then it had to be a struggle. If thieves worked half as hard on a job they'd make a good living and wouldn't be out stealing,,,they'd be complaining about the lousy thiefs stealing stuff from them!! Lousy low lifes!!

Around here they steal copper from powered up sub-stations , the good thing is, it's the last thing they steal. Sorry for your loss, as Uncle Fester would say, "Shoot 'um in the back!" JOE

Several years ago my buddy walked up on a guy breaking into his car. A real scumbag looking character he said. He punched the guy in the back of the head and his face went right into the door window and opened up his nose like a fountain. The guy hit the ground and my buddy went to work on him after that. My buddy said that guy paid for everything that was ever stolen from him and everybody he knew. I know this was true because I took him to the hospital to get his hand looked at. Still had blood on his clothes. He broke 2 fingers in his right hand punching the guy and he said he did not feel a thing. I hope this story brings a little solice to ya mate. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Where did you have it installed and how long ago? Maybe if you are going to the same shop again you may be buying your unit back and not even know it.

Just sounds like a thief that knew what was already in the truck.

Sorry for your bad luck.

Years ago, before hoods had locks, some dirtbag stole a battery out
of my '62 Chevy. When I was getting a replacement, the guy asked
why I didn't bring the car in?

I said someone stole the battery and I couldn't figure out why someone
would steal an old battery.

He said it's because they know you'll have to get a new one and they'll
come back for that one too.

So that night I put a chain & lock on the hood and sure enough, about
a week later I came out and found hood popped up and battery still
in place.

Keep an eye out for return thieves.

Sorry it happened but there's nothing you can do about it now.

Also just an FYI and a few questions. was it recently installed and/or did you have your vehicle in a shop for any repairs, installs, etc?

Anyway, if your vehicle does have keypads on the exterior, do NOT leave your codes in the glove box or where ever some one other than you has access to them, as anyone can view them when your not looking.

Also install an auto alarm if you do not feel comfortable leaving it out in the open.

It maybe someone you know? Sounds to me like they knew what you had in the truck and knew when to take it? Think about it?
