please explain why this is "way better" maybe it's just the engineer in me but i see no real advantage to this method, and yes i understand that air is being drawn up between the shroud and radiator but mind you that the radiator RADIATES heat so it would be WARM air coming in as opposed to facing the other way....
Any more ideas? anyone do something nifty to the inside of their cars? I've seen the steering wheel logo painted that looks cool! C6Z shifter is a nice touch too for M6 cars.
Also, on the underhood painting - I did my parts a couple years ago and they are still holding up. I used a flex coat first (Called Bulldog - bond/flex/tie coat), then primed, then painted with exterior auto paint, then cleared. My parts are holding up great - including the radiator tank. I painted the entire thing and it's still not bubbling/cracking.
Some said this wouldn't last but just over 3k miles and several car washes they still look like the day I painted them. Little tricky placing the decal on and then painting Semi Flat Black and then pulling off the decals. Trace the decals with razor blade before pulling off decals. Some said I should have painted the inside but that is impossible because the inside is diamond cut.
"Homelink garage door opener installed in the visor for $2 in parts and about 2 hours of work. To buy one costs over $150."
Banditdude - where did you get the parts? I would love to do this. I love the Homelink in my other cars...............DO TELL............
