I also looked into weight on the high priced names mentioned and the styles I wanted they ALL weighed more than the CCW's I wanted.

They are made in the USA (Quality). This coming from a Canuck

Many of my friends have various CCW styles and love them. Great customer service, and there are also so many styles that compliment the Corvette.

The way I see it.... Lighter weight, Lower cost ($2600), Looks just as good as the other brands... It was an easy decision for me.

Toque

Well put Toque!!!

I had a set of HRE 540's on my Z06 and did not like them at all way over priced.
My SP500 with NITTO INVOS mounted and shipped to my door $3100.00
had them in two weeks.....top notch customer service.
A frend of mine has a set of Forgelines on his Coupe he paid over 5K for just the rims insame.....

For me, I just think CCW wheels look great. I wasn't trying to follow a crowd or anything like that. I liked other comparable wheels too, but the CCW's just made a "gotta-have-it" impression or maybe obsession with me.

Like others have said, excellent quality, light weight, great looking, perfect fit, great service. Fair price too for what you get. I considered Kinesis wheels of a similar design to the Classics I got. They were double the price, no exaggeration. On top of that, I wanted to buy a wheel/tire package mounted and shipped. In addition to the exorbitant price for their wheels (Kinesis) and the price of the tires, they were going to charge me mounting and balancing of the tires, too. The wheels alone were almost $5000. Another $150 on top of the close to $6000 freaking dollars for the wheels and tires. I couldn't believe it. When I orderd my wheels/tires from CCW they were delivered exactly when they said they would be, just in time for me to install them before a big event. Also, if you have any unusual fitment concerns, John is a walking encyclopedia of what fits what and how to make things work.

It's all personal choice, of course. Mine is ... I can't wait to get a new set of CCW 505A's I think the look incredible on EB Vettes.

I maybe biased though.

They definitely look great, but I'm going to go a different route. I wouldn't say they are overrated since I have yet to see any complaints and they look fantastic. But I will say they are overdone.

I'll be getting something else simply because everybody else seems to have them.

I don't do chrome...unless they do custom orders. But I don't care much for their designs either.

I was thinking more along the lines of something like the following. I'd get the Scorpion (Gloss Black).

Simple.... CCW's are far cheaper than Forgeline, Fikse, Kinesis, HRE etc.....

Doesn't mean they are not a quality product b/c they are. I would love a set of C14's if I had the money.

Personally I run Forgelines on the street and they are the best set of wheels I have ever owned which include 3 different sets of CCW's.

I'm with ya on everyone seeming to have them. But I'm slowly being converted. I would love to have some of the 3 piece forged rims I've seen on here, but I simply can't justify over 5 grand before tires just to have something different. And some of the so called high end wheels have had some really bad hits with their customer service and delivery times, do a search in the wheel and tire section for iForged as an example. Like others have said, I've yet to see any customer service issues about CCW, so I may be joining the herd soon. I've had forged polished rims before from Intro Wheels(they make Iforged wheels too) and was very unhappy with them so my next ones will probably be chrome CCWs, I hate polishing......

I plan to buy my CCWs next spring. Right now I'm leaning towards the 505s.

My reasoning is similar to the other posts; Value, Customer Service, etc.

Plus, if my research on this forum is correct, the CCWs also clear my Baer Eradi rotors.

I am currently running the ACE Slick in Hyperblack. Although a very nice wheel, I miss the polished and chrome wheel bling.

while i can see your point about wanting to be "a little different", sometimes being different can be

i think everyone has covered the important consumer issues (GREAT customer service from john, chip, melissa, et al, price, minimal wait on shipments, etc.) and personal taste issues. i know that when i was looking for a set of wheels, i started looking at the c5z chrome motorsports and the c6z's but when absoluthank's black '98 coupe popped up on my screen, i knew that was the wheel for me. i didn't know anything about ccw's or their pricing. i would have prolly paid 2 times what i did for my t-10's, they are that looking IMHO.

and as for being different with an "identity of my own" at shows, i have yet to enter/go to a show where someone else has the t-10's and rare is the time i see a large contingent of ccw owners. meanwhile, i see alot of iforged, hre and kinesis as well as the obligitory c5/c6z crowd, all of which i have no problems with.

i just don't see where you can completely set yourself apart from everyone unless you have your own wheel company or are somehow able to custom order a "one-off" set that will never be sold to anyone else.

and as for BillY2KFRC' ride:

personally, IMHO, the blacked-out, "murdered" look is starting to get a little over-played, but this example of it is very, very .

peace,

rich
