OMG... and WTF.... It's a damn car.. It was made to drive and I assume yours came with a top on it, weatherstrips etc etc.. The rain is probably cleaner than the water you use to wash it. It won't rust.. Put your metal cars in the garage, they will rust.
You think thats bad!! I wish I had my camera when I crossed Nebraska last Dec!!! My Z was an covered in ICE, MUD, and Snow!!!
I had Semi tractors passing me!! I had a couple pickups go by me at 50 mph+, they were in the ditch later!!! I stopped twice because I could only go 30 mph and they closed I-80 one night!!!
snow is ok as long as you have good tires ie some C6 fronts with Goodyear ultra grip ices in the back 100Lbs of weight and the front and back bras on you should be ok as long as its not over 5 inches of snow
but ya snow is ok as long as you don't try an 2 foot drift like an dumb A$$
My Vette got wet for the first time today in 7 years, with the exception of that time I washed it! That's what I get for backing it out of the garage on a cloudy day.
Don't feel alone. I've only seen water once also. Water spots on black is a pain to remove. My neighbors think I'm crazy! All I do is dust and wax.
Did it melt or just shrink a little? OMG, what the hell are they for if not to drive? My verts been through snow, rain and everything in between. It's still beatiful and runs just fine. I'm lucky though, I own a garden hose and some soap, brushes, sponges and some nice terry towels.
It got wet? Oh well. I'll buy it off of you but I'd need a discount now that it has a salvage title for the wet issue.
Daily Driver here too. Luckily it only rains like 10 times a year in SoCal. But there is a lot of dirt in the air so right now she is going on 3 weeks without a wash and looking pretty bad. Gotta wash it this weekend. I usually do a light wash every two weeks.
If you took two exact same cars and one was driven in the rain and the other never driven but on sunny days with the same exact mileage how much more would it be worth? Just curious to what the garage queens owners think how much more theirs are worth then one that wasn't driven in rain/snow. Serious q
