Default need to look at your needs

I got one after my wife's jeep gave me the bug, her jeep has the multimeia works with dvd and everything else. After taking some short trips, with it, it was awesome, very nice to have.

I bought a tom tom go 720 on clearance it was a demo model, so it does not hold a charge. Very nice but like everything else its just a tool, do not buy a cadillac unless you need all the bells and whistles.

I freakquently take cross country trips, the tom tom I have seems to have very good road maps, but if your only going to use locally, then maybe something else would be better.

My 720 has not failed, me always found what I was looking for.

Driven with it from florida- texas, both I 20 and I 10 routes, has convienant things, will take some work, you will need to program your home address in it, then you can just push two buttons and it will navigate you home, very good as well if you change your route on the move automatically recalculates the route fairly accurate on time.

I will eventually upgrade my vette and one ton truck to in dash models to clean up my dash in both of them.

Then the old truck will inherit the portable tom tom.

A friend of mine at work loaned me his cheapo Garmin Street Pilot GPS just to see how it works. I have to say that now I REALLY have to have one! That thing is super cool. I can remember lots of times that I wished I had one.

Here's my luck. Spent time last night and lots this afternoon on the stoopid arrow mod. The interface you down load on the net is in french. It wouldn't install no matter what I tried. Gave up. Well I decided I would update my TT One V3. A new update was out. Downloaded it and I'll be damned, the new update now allows you to swap the arrow for a variety of different vehicles. Even a motorcycle. I had already installed a Purple Vette I found on the site you posted and it was also in the folder. Since I have a Torch Red Vette I have to make my own icon.

So I wasted hours on something they gave me as an update. I could have made my icon instead. So everyone with a TomTom there is a cool update available.

Well, I did it! I just pulled the trigger on a refurbished Garmin nuvi 750 for $159.00. It looks like it has all the features I wanted, and then some. Hopefully it will be all that I'm hoping for.

If you are using the tom tom software on your pc, you can go to [add maps traffic, voices, etc]. Then on the second page click [images and icons]. Car symbol, start up, etc. I searched for corvette and found several images there. I currently have a yellow C6R. There is a red C6 on there but not as good as the C6R. Also found an air traffic controller voice. "Turn right at your discretion" much better than turn right NOW! Also found a C1 start up screen....

On the GPS. I have a TOM TOM 1 XL. Really like it. We put ours down just in front of the Ashtray.
