and again sorry to hear that. I saw a girl key my car once in a parking lot at work. She didn't see me or know it was my car. It was just a nice sports car in the parking lot. I didn't say anything to her (because I didn't want to start any BS at work & get fired over it) but when I was going home I left a little early and took a 25lb weight out of my trunk (snow traction) and dropped it on her hood w/force. That was a long time ago today I would handle it different, & I park to far away from everyone else.

That's awesome that you actually caught the person in the act...that is VERY rare.

I have to say that's funny and "bad" at the same time... hope you don't get caught for it.

I wish you would have done something different. I'd have let her know that I saw her and let her freak out about it for a week or two. Then rain fire upon her. Of course you handled it in a better way than I would, I don't think she learned anything from it. I'd have instilled the fear of God in her and given her a lesson she'll tell her adopted children after I kick her in the ovaries.

Let store or mall security know what happened, they can check your vehicle from time to time. Also just mention to a few employees that police were notified and the word will get around.

It depends on the angle they hit the car. Eggs can be as hard as rocks.

For those of you who don't believe me, try this science experiment at home:

Take 1 egg, hold it vertically between your index finger and thumb and try to pinch it to break. It's pretty damn strong from that angle. I even tried with both hands and was unable to break it.

I agree, watch your paint. This happened to my black GMC and it is visible a year later when I didn't see it after washing. The paint looks like a spider web. It happened in June.

I worked at a place that homeless wandered by my car all day. At night they would sleep in my parking space (could tell by the urine smell). One day my wife came to pick me up for lunch and a homeless man was rubbing his A$$ all over my door. Their favorite thing to do was to turn my side view mirrors so they faced forward. I was pretty upset the first time because I did not know they could turn that way. It happened several other times and I learned not to worry about it. These guys are a bit mental and they have nothing else to do.

God forgive them for they know not what they do.

By the way I quit that job it sucked anyway.

You shouldn't be "afraid" to drive your car anywhere but instead be aware of the benefits and risks of leaving it unattended.

There is nothing wrong with keeping your car secure.

Exactly, some douche did this to my new truck 3 eggs... I parked it on the street one night. Pisses me off.. the shells always seem to leave a mark when they shatter onto the paint. It seems in suburbia, the youth has nothing better to do even with all the stores, and places for entertainment they like to just find a street and hang out on it.... and I'm not talking like 5 kids I am talking like 50 kids and none of them belong to the houses in the area. They do this mainly in the summer aroud 12-2am.

Man that really sucks! I hope karma takes a toll on who ever did that. Kudos to you for not losing your temper about the whole thing either. I can't say I would be able to keep a cool head about that.
