Sorry, BMW's don't do anything for me. Just not a fan of foreign cars. I have ALWAYS been a fan of American cars!

First you put down Corvettes and now the entire US Auto industry. Enjoy your foreign car.

I am embarrased to say that we have looked at them & Benzes too, but like you said, they just don't float my boat. I always buy American, Everytime!

Default your choice

To OP there is no reason to try and defend what you did. It was your vette and your decision to make. You wanted something different and you got it. Although it isn't something that I would do it was not my vette.
But I will bet that when you are driving your BMW and a C5 goes by you are going to wish you still had yours. Good luck with your new car!

Congrats on the M3 but I'm not sure what kind of response you were expecting posting this in C5 Gen.

BTW, I am young and was back and forth between an M3 and C5 when picking my car. I eventually went with the C5 because you don't have to wind it to 7k to get power out of it and I wanted a reliable car. I don't possibly see how an M3 could give you better "seat of pants" acceleration than a C5, even an auto one. Something must've been wrong with yours.

Like M3's but wouldn't trade my vette in on one. I'd still drive one or get one for the g/f...

Like I said earlier... if you like it that's all that matters... You started the thread telling us that the bmw was superior to the vette... Your mistake is all!

I didn't realize the M3 was such a highly coveted car. I've heard of them and I see tons of them running around here in Northern Va. but I never knew they were so great. Why is it that you consider yourself lucky to have one? Do they only allow certain people to have them? I mean, if I wanted one, couldn't I get one? I don't consider myself lucky to have a Vette. I just wanted one and went out and bought one- no luck involved. Anyway, have fun with the BMW.

You don't think it takes luck? If you're in Africa, walking 50 miles a day, just to get dirty water to drink, I don't see any chance for you to get a vette.

I'd consider myself very lucky. It's not just about money.

That doesnt make any sense. Luck has nothing to do with it. You work, you make money, theres thousands of corvettes for sale, its not like he plays the slot machine to decide if the world will let him buy one or not haha.

even telling you what he is doing:

quote: I'm sure you guys have better things to do than sit here and argue and write down your stupid opinions, so just read and enjoy guys, no need to over analyze this!

The best response to this obviously pointless provocation is to have zero responses!

M3 is a nice car, I've looked at them in the past. I believe a new one costs in the range of a C6Z06. Hard to believe the 2002 M3 is faster than the C5. I'll have to do some research on that. Hope you enjoy the car.
