Are you guys referring to valve float? If so can someone explain what exactly causes it and what you guys are adding to avoid it? Sorry, my newb question of the morning.

no, its the float in the gas tank that measures the fuel level. It has a tendency to get stuck due to deposits, water, and possible other issues. Fuel additives such as sea foam lubricates and reduce the amount of water in fuel.

I add seafoam about every 3rd tank but i only use 1/2 bottle.

Once a year, adding the Techron just before winter storage, has worked well for me.
This way, it has a chance to soak the fuel level sender for a good 3-4 months.

Thankfully I live in TX where all of the top grade is 93 sometimes 92. I have yet to see it get below that in DFW.

I throw in a large bottle of Techron, twice per year and have never had a problem with the float.
