On the C5 if you remove any of the incandescent bulbs that are used for the DRL's or the tail lights and replace them with LED's you will get hyperflash (flashing of the turn signal, much faster than it should be). Other than being annoying it will also lead to the LED to burn out faster and possibly the flasher burning out faster than it should. This is caused because although they are both 12v lights, the LED's current draw is much less than that of the incandescent bulb, so much less that the system thinks the bulb is burned out and this hyperflash is a signal telling you that you have a burned out bulb. To correct this situation, you have a number of options, you can install a load resistor in series with each one of the LED's you have installed in place of the incandescent bulb, or you could install the incandescent bulb you are replacing in parallel with each one of the LED that you have installed, or the easiest fix is to install one flasher bypass harness that includes an electronic flasher.
The C5 has one turn signal flasher that works with the incandescent bulbs installed from the factory to make the turn signals work. The bypass harness, is just that, it bypasses the OEM harness and replaces it with an electronic flasher that is designed to work with either incandescent bulbs or LED's. They don't make a replacement electronic flasher for the C5 like they do on some other cars, so to get around this people have designed a bypass of the OEM flasher and the addition of an electronic one. That is what these bypass harness are made for.

FYI, even with the bypass harness installed, your emergency flashers will hyperflash, unless you put your left or right turn signal on at the same time, in which case all four corners will slow down.

mine doesn't. hazzards flash at normal rate with the led flasher harness and switchbacks installed

That's interesting... I wonder why my switchbacks and halo LED's hyperflash when the hazards are on, then?
Not that I mind the hyperflash on the hazards at all. In fact, I think I may prefer it. I only use the hazards when having to stop abruptly for traffic on the freeway and there is nobody behind me for a large distance. I want them to see that there is something up ahead that they need to pay attention to.

Sorry to be a pain... so buy two of the lights linked abouve and one of the harness that I linked, right? Are those the best versions of these items or are there other/better versions from other vendors?
And Richard with Corvette Enhancements (also a vendor here but I don't have a link, but you can do a search), sell the harness, but I have heard he is out of stock right now, you would have to check his site. If he is out the link you have for the harness would work also.
