I'm hoping to get one of those low mile garage queen to replace my low mile garage queen Z06. I wish I had more time and opportunity to drive it but I don't and every time I get in it, it like a new car to me even after 6 yrs; I suspect the Viper will be the same way for me, but with 600hp, I will not have to mod it as much or I will be less inclined to....maybe.
The temptation will be tooooo great. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

I bought my Z06 new, along with numerous others. I keep my cars for a while and I'm willing to take the "depreciation hit". I enjoy driving off in a car that has no miles on the odometer.
i don't need the attention...so I would just mod the vette. I really like the C5Z platform. I would up the power and do some other mods....rims/tires, exhaust, suspension, stereo...etc. You already have a great vette...now make it stand out in a crowd!
I always thought the vipers looked just a little too much like a *****. They are trying just a little too hard.
The new ones are better though.
I'll be honest, I grabbed a vette first because it was a good car, second because it is recognizable. I was sick of people asking me if my GTO was a G6, G8, and cavalier (no lie).
Sooo....I can understand wanting recognition. Viper all the way that way, but more than half the people looking at you will be saying "what a tool" under their breath. Less people will look at you in the z, but those that do will be appreciating it for not just being "another vette"...now....what color? (Because, as we all know...black is best..../can of worms)
