The Modena is nice and probably the most reliable Ferrari to date but, you will be dropping a grand every 6,000 miles for the Ferrari scheduled maintenance. Factor in the occasional cam belt and clutch replacement, the cost of ownership climbs considerably. If you can afford to drop that much coin, I'd go for it.
If you are dropping $90K on an impractical sports-car, I would hope that you are well-heeled enough to maintain it...
Viper if you want the looks. I rarely see vipers but they're slow considering what they are (V10s) and handle like ****. On the same note i see plymoth prowlers less than vipers, so it doesnt mean too much.
If you're going to spend that much money and want power why don't you just modify your car or get a used c6 zo6 and modify that?
Viper to be stared at and as an occasion driver and track car
Z 06 if you want a solid reliable daily driver that can hang with the best of them.
Personally for what I use my car for which is a driver than is a lot of fun it would be the Z 06 hands down. I would just grab a low mile 06 model for under 50k and save the rest for mods.
Funny how many in here thing Vipers handle like junk... not sure where that comes from, the don't. Yes they're harder to drive fast around a race track, but in the right hands they're very fast.
A 2003 SRT-10 can be had for 35-39k these days... the 2008s w/ 600+ horse are in the mid 60s.

Compared to other sports cars in its price range it does. And with the exception of the 09 srt10 acr they haven't proved very good Nurburgring track times over the years.
Speaking of nurburgring i have a friend thats a diehard mustang fan and everytime he makes fun of chevys all i have to tell him is one of two things. The new v6 camaro has the same bhp as their mustang gt and where is your nurburgring timeslip?

No idea what some people are thinking.
The C6 Z06 is a better value, the Viper is the car to be in if you want attention. Both cars will perform.
Attention is overrated......My last Viper was an 06 Coupe, red w/silver stripes. Man,I loved driving that car. But unless you're a total attention ***** it gets real old, real quick.
Mine got ~10mpg no matter if I was cruising or beating the snot out of it.....which means a lot of stops for gas, which means you draw a crowd each & every time. I'm no stuck up prig & love to talk cars with just about anyone, but sometimes you just want to grab some gas & go,you know?
The only car I've had that got more attention is the red Ford in my sig.....
And Brian is spot on,the Viper handles exceptionally well, but you better be on your game.
The Viper is an in your face,no excuses, superfast car that reinds me of the old Shelby Cobras.
The Z06,in the other hand,is as docile as you want it to be with plenty of creature comforts when just cruising. But when you hit the go pedal,it lets you know RIGHT NOW that it's the meanest, nastiest N/A car GM has ever produced.
Love my Z, and am a lifelong Chevy guy, but I'd get a Ford GT before a Viper any day. Best looking car ever made, IMHO. Shame about the motor, but as long as it's got FI....

That means nothing. That's only true because Dodge never sent a team over there with the car to tune on the track and try to set fastest time like GM does. All the Viper times just come from independant reviewers who don't have nearly as much time or drive nearly as hard as factory teams renting the track. The Viper corners very hard and it shows in independant track tests.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I did look into some exotics, but then as others said it would come with an exotic price tag for work and parts.. I am also tossing around the idea of just boosting my car to get myself some more hp...not too sure yet though. Hmmm a gallardo would be awfully nice though...
