Default C1214 Code Woohoo!!

2001 C5
Well it gave this code a few months ago and I cleared it. It came on again this morning on the way to work and freaked me out. I was going around a curve in the rain (at a normal speed) when the bells and chimes along with the lights started. I was being quite this morning just thinking about my day when this started. Snatched me right out of day dream land.
I looked it up and it is a stuck solenoid or open contact. Is this right and where is this relay or contact that has so rudely screwed up my day?

Now that I'm done whinning, any help would be great!!

1214 is Service ABS, TC and AH.... quick guess would be either a faulty/loose ABS sensor or your EBCM is starting to crap out... i would check your ABS connections first.. if thats not the problem then you may need to replace the EBCM... its fairly simple DIY job

I got the same 2 weeks ago. I beat around the bush and checked connectors, cleaned grounds etc. I ended up taking it off and sending to absfixer and now all is good. When you search, there is a thread of someone cracking the ebcm open and fixing the relay himself. Seemed too complicated for me but a lot cheaper. Good luck.

Im afraid that's an EBCM change or as 8VETTE7 suggested send it to absfixer.com for the repair.

You can drive the car while the EBCM is away but you'll not have AH/TCS protection

sounds like I am off to absfixer. I have done the grounds for the hole car. Yeah, there are many!! But this code just keeps coming back.

Thanks for the info!!

And I would also like to get in line for the sharing!!!!!!!!!!
