Read the recall I've linked in the earlier post , here it is again , but remember the story is much , much deeperhttp://www.rjsmith.com/gm-894549.html

This '01 was produced on April 30th 2001* which also means that the engine has the newer designed pistons (cold start piston slap issue) which was on the line with the LS6 in mid -April. .......* the production time line according to the VIN is an approx. date
He already bought.

There's another post (on the 3rd page) where somebody says "dont spend over 20k"

He paid fair money (good deal) for a nice low mile '01 Zo6.

Thanks guys. I didn't think that the 01Z was that much quicker than my C6 with 400HP but even with 385 and the borlas, I can feel more power. I am somewhat surprised!

I'll post some photos as soon as I can quit driving her!!!

Sorry dude. There is no such thing as an ugly Z06.

If I could have found a speedway white 01 before I got the one I have now it would be in my driveway.

I would rather have a newer car for the same price which will also be easier to sell later on then the 01 just because of all the 01 haters. Plus is comes with an extra 20hp and HUD. If you plan on doing heads and cam then no biggie but for someone looking for bolt ons only 02+ are great.
The 01 haters that don't know any better are fine. But the chodes that come on here... with the wealth of knowledge this forum has to offer... and refuse to learn anything are irritating at best.

Factory Speedlines chrome by www.calchrome.com (done by the previous owner)

Beware of chrome reproductions, they can be heavy. I think a vendor sells chrome oem on exchange, not sure who though.
