How exactly do you to a burnout? I know this is extremely elementary but, see, my rear tires are worn out and I figured it's time to practice some tire spinning and I've proven to not be able to do it. Even if I have the clutch out at a like 5 mph and floor it the wheels just don't spin with the traction control off....
How brutally do you have to drop the clutch?
Sorry for the wussiest question ever but I had to ask....
For me being that I have 701 RWHP I basically mash the throttle and it rips the tires
For an MN6 you will have to DUMP the Clutch a little higher in the RPM range, @ least 2000 RPM's. Then they will break loose, if not you'll want to take it up a little further but you should be fine at that RPM!
Once they break loose you will want to apply the brakes so as to not keep going forward and fry away till your heart is content! and then push the clutch back in and let off the gas.
MAKE SURE - You do this somewhere it is safe and away from people and children who might get hurt. Be careful and keep as far as you can from light poles, walls, curbs etc. just incase it gets away from you.
Pavement surface has a little to do with it!! Fresh broom finished concrete has a lot more bite than worn smooth asphalt!! And as previously posted have traction control OFF,,,better yet put it in Competitive Driving mode,,TC is off,,but active handling stays on,,could come in handy for a novice. These cars can get "tail happy" REAL QUICK once you get it spinning(fun IF you know what you are doing though)!!!

Dump that clutch, quick release and you won't burn it. You don't want to slip the clutch. After that quickly move your left foot over to the brake and keep feathering the throttle. If done right the car shouldn't move more then a foot. At the track i dump the clutch in 2nd to get more heat in the tires also puts out a lot more smoke. Like my signature
Hell, just mash the left pedal, then the right, let up a little if need be and spin as long as I want. But thats an A4.
From the manuals I have driven, dumping at 2k is plenty with lite brake pressure to control where you go. If it gets out of hand--- pound the clutch and break pedal.
Just be safe how ever you do it my friend.

What are you guys even talking about? 13 posts and not one person has explained to this guy how to correctly do a burnout.
First make sure you turn off traction control.
Then push in clutch and rev motor above 4k rpm
Then dump the clutch and mash the gas
At the same time take your left foot and press the brake pedal all the way down while still mashing the gas pedal.
Then when you are ready to move down the street just let off the brakes and continue the burnout down the street.
Please make sure you are in a huge open area with nothing or any cars around. It will take you a couple trys before you get the whole timing of the mashing gas, letting off clutch then hitting the brakes while mashing the gas.
Strange how if you're going 5MPH and you mash the gas, your tires don't spin... I know this is sort of off topic, but your tires should definitely spin if they're bald and you're mashing the gas in 1st at 5MPH.
My car is stock and at 20MPH, if I mash the gas in 1st or 2nd, the tires spin like crazy.

What kind of tires do you have? Some are stickier than others.. I have PS2 tires and they seem to be stickier than the goodyears.
Hey thanks guys for the replys. I baby my car way too much.
