Default The Ultimate Question...

What color to buy!?

I've been frequenting these forums for some time now, and am thinking of joining the community and buying my ZO6 sometime around Christmas.

I have a huge dilemma though:

I've looked at every single ZO6 picture in the sticky thread, and have narrowed it down to two options:

1) Millenium Yellow with HRE wheels (there's a picture of a Mil. Yellow Z with what look like HRE C97 wheels with it's hood popped open next to a "Road Closed" sign. I LOVE that car). Also, I'd like a Caravaggio rear spoiler on it and two-tone interior.

2) Black with the Caravaggio rear spoiler, and black wheels with a chrome lip (there's also a pic like this in the sticky thread.)

My other thought is black with a nice set of allow wheels (like the C97 HRE wheels on a black car).

Does anyone have pictures of a black C5Z with HRE C97 or similar wheels?

Help me decide!

Only comments I would make regarding those colors, is that yellow tends to attract more unwanted attention, and black is a PIA to keep clean. Both will be beautiful cars either way. I personally didn't like yellow as I thought it was too loud for me (but different strokes for different folks) and I have had black in the past. I use my car as a DD, so black was a pain to keep clean. I bought an Electron Blue as that color realy grew on me over the last year.

Can't go wrong with either so just flip a coin.

I was looking as some EB cars. I love the color.

I think silver might also look good with a black wheel/chrome lip. Easier to keep clean too.

I bought a black Z06 and wish I had got Silver white or red. You can see every little swirl mark in teh clear and gets dirty so quick. Thats why I am going to paint my car flat black. My .02

I love black, most of my cars are black, but with a car this low i almost regret it. The hood is a rock magnet. I think if i did it again i would go silver.

Quicksilver was my second choice.

I love my quicksilver Z, has just enough sparkle in the paint to really stand out when clean and waxed up. Gives a lot of wheel options that look nice with it as well.

Really it is up to you, my color choices would be:

1. Quicksilver
2. Speedway white (only 01)
3. EB and Black
4. Yellow/red .. too much attention for the way I drive mine

Get something mechanically sound, and look at a few before you pull the trigger IMO.

Mil. Yellow or Electron Blue.

Electron Blue is gorgeous and a little more understated. It's one of, if not the best, blues I've ever seen on any car. It's not so dark that it hides curves, and it's not so light that it looks feminine. It looks insane when clean and in sunlight.

That said, I chose Yellow.

The good news about yellow...it's easy to see coming on the road and track. The bad news about yellow...bees are on it like a 13 yr. old boy on an Angelina Jolie blowup doll.

I thought MY would possibly be too 'loud' for me (I'm fairly conservative), but I think a car like this should look aggressive...not blend with the pack.

Yellow is very easy to keep clean also.

I always had a soft spot for the C5R, and the MY C5Z is the closest thing I'll ever have to one of those.

Is there such thing as not getting attention in a vette? If it's a driver, go with a light color. Black and Electron blue are hard to keep clean!
