Bought my 98 Coupe almost 11 months ago with 57k, now has 64.6k
It actually wasn't going to be my daily driver, but I knew real soon after I bought it that that wasn't going to work out-I can't stay out of it !
Drive my 2001 every day for the past 9 years - average 4,000-5,000 miles per year. Number of miles don't mean much to me as long as I can replace parts when they need replacing.
If you are "shopping" for a C5, that would be great to find a lower milage car that is in good shape, but for the seller the difference in price they are likely to get for their sacrifice is a losing proposition.
98 with 170000 just got back from 3000 mile trip. Still runs and looks great .One set of brakes and plugs and "o"yes 3 wheel bearings + the std vet problems Hvac display, seats,CD player.ect, ect, two page list. They were built to drive.Have a house full of Sh** I don't use the Vett aint one of them. I bought mine to use strictly as a toy. I still can't quite figure out why it bothers some people so much how I drive/use a car that I paid for. I've got way too much money tied up in it to drive it on a daily basis. Actually, I've been showing it more and driving it less. It's my first and last Corvette and I'm not concerned about resale value. If something happens to me, my son gets it.
Oh I never said it bothers me that you drive it so little... I just never understood the need to post a thread about it. I've got way too much money tied up in mine to NOT drive it on a daily basis so, go figure .

The great thing is that you're happy driving yours daily and I'm happy having mine as a toy. If we're both happy, who cares about the mileage?
00 Coupe and she just turned 27K. In my defense I have a company van I drive for work and normally get home late so I only get to drive her Friday nights and weekends.
