I do not defend manual transmission, I defend my way of driving: a series of deliberate choices initiated and executed by me and on my behalf. You can be a sheep if it suits you, it just does not suit me. I personally find it pretty insulting that I would have to rely on someone else's judgement to drive a car.
And what is MACHOISM? Do you mean MACHISMO or MASOCHISM? I admit to be guilty of both but then again, who is not? (not sure about those auto owners though)

Peter, we all make many, many choices in life. If you choose to row the gears, that's up to you and no one else. What I choose to drive is up to me and no one else. Get it Peter? No one else. Now when you can grow up and quit trying to pick a fight, you might actually be a better person for it.

The sad truth is that many people are just too lazy to learn how to drive stick shift anymore and since mediocrity and retardation rules, pretty soon all cars will be auto only, some may offer better MT emulation software though.

Why would it make me happy? I don't plan on buying one. I'm happy with the C5 I've got.

FYI Peter, I know perfectly well how to drive a stick. I've had cars with manny trannies before. Doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy driving a manny vette, but it also doesn't mean I have to drive one or I'm retarded as you imply. You dude are not alpha, you're just plain ignorant.

Well, there is a serious inequality here, you strike me as a pacifier, thus, I point it out to you. Right now, only people who know how to drive stick can not only buy ZR1 and Z06 but then actually drive it off the lot. Only the bottom of the vette foodchain is available to the mentally challenged portion of driving population who still does not realize they have two legs and arms... Not a good situation... I think GS may be offered with auto? Looks pretty much the same, close enough visually...
