The way you've been ranting about autos, why would I not?

You're a real work of art Peter. I'm just glad I don't know anyone like you personally.

Honestly, autos can be nice... But I'll trade my 6-speed for an auto the day I physically cannot drive a manual. It's just TOO much fun to drive a 6-speed.

I drove my mom's M35 the other day with a 5-speed auto, and even when I manually shifted it I was still bored.

Wrong! My a4 used to get me 27-28mpg all day long. Cruise control for 4hours. Even now with 600hp I got 23.7mpg. How you like them apples?

Thnx for turning a thread of peaceful opinions into a battle you tards. Really, who gives a FFFFFk what trans your vette has! If you are happy who cares. OP, get what you want, test drive the goddamn cars first. Both trannies have there pros and cons but you know what? Theyre both fun and exciting to drive and its still a vette. Lets keep this as a TECH subject and not into stupidities as to calling auto owners mentally challenged. Drive what the hell you want and forget others opinions. Arent we all out of high school already?

Someone lock this crap alreday. All points have been said and discussed. This turkey is cooked.

Last time I looked, there was a technical C5 section here. Seems like best way to keep technical things technical, whatcha think?

Seems like this would be a mutual delight. On the bright side, I was right on the money. The new GS is available with AT, you're in luck

Maybe but this isnt the "battle an opposite opinion" section either. Why cant you guys state your opinion and leave it at that? What can you get from arguing on the net with someone you'll never see? Cmon man, Im sure you got other things to do.

Apologies to the OP, hope you got the info or opinions you were looking for... hopefully a few thread pages ago.

Wasn't the OP asking for opinions? No matter how childish you may perceive what took place, hopefully the OP gets an idea to really make sure that what he picks can make him happy afterwards. If opinions are so polarized, this is a pretty good indicator that so will be his driving experience with either auto or manual. There is always a silver lining in everything. One last thing for the night Peter. I almost forgot to mention, I saw your avatar, nice pic of your car cover. I wanted to compliment you on it (the pic, not the cover). Really nice pic.
