I personally know the fabricator and this system can be put up against ANY other system out there, including OEM! One delay had been high speed testing, we may not all drive 130+ MPH BUT the system is being to tested to all extremes to ensure that it'll meet everyones needs.

Thats what I am hoping for Brother!! They look incredible.
I'll let you know how they look when I do the test fittment...
I've never messed with my Headlights and I'm going to be doing a step by step install w/documentation and pics to verify fittment, functionality, accessories and the included install instructions.

Here is the first view of the shroud.
We still have a few adjustments to make for the mold, but it's getting there.
To refresh everyones memory:
These pics show the lights without the shrouds which we're still working on.
This pic shows the final height which is 98-100 mm. We still need to get a measurement of stock, but we're thinking they open around 70mm less than stock.
These pics are from the driver seat/drivers perspective. Both headlights have pretty much disappeared from view! The second picture was taken with the camera just under the rearview mirror.
What we have now for the shroud.

Main concern is how good is the overall seal as well as overall protection. With what the care is capable to throwing up - will the shroud be protective as well as decorative? Have a good feeling but am looking for a professional finished product that will look better than stock while increasing night time vision and be a long term solution.

The projectors are sealed units themselves so no worries with water or anything on those.
The shrouds will hold their own. I'll have to find out the exact material we're using, but it's tough stuff. Some fancy kevlar stuff if I remember correct. Kevlar is what they make military helmets out of for those that don't know.

Personally, I think the lights look better without the shroud. I know that's not functional to expose the wiring, etc. especially in driving conditions, however the current shroud takes away from the lights IMO.
Perhaps if you move the shroud back behind the grey bulb housings. Better yet, perhaps a smoked out acrylic shroud that shows the guts of the light housings.
I don't mind that shroud as long as it can be painted. I think a glossy black would be nice. Perhaps some extruded silver rings around the openings would look nice too.
Here's a quick photoshop I did:

This shroud will more than likely be the one we use. Since the popups are typically only used at night I really couldn't justify adding visual only pieces to the price. We might look into it though. You never know.
Yes it can be painted. The pics show CF. Not sure if the clear was applied yet or not.

. being able to paint them body color would be a real plus.

Those pics show the shrouds in raw CF, no clear coat. They are being made with multiple layers of CF with Kevlar backing around the cutouts.
Just to remind everyone the Headlights themselves w/o a shroud have been thoroughly tested in weather and multiple high speed runs so they are solid by themsleves and a stand alone product. The shroud will provide road debris protection, arodynamics and asthetics of course. Personally I will probably paint em body color...
I wish the shroud was recessed a little more. I love the original pictures without the shroud because the lights look so unique and cool with the two indivual projectors.
I think it would look much better with the shroud coming up right behind the lights like in these crude photoshops:
I'll have to agree with the posts that think the shrouds look a bit "flat". If a contour up to the lights ("turtlenecking") isn't feasible, how about letting the projectors poke through about an inch or so, kinda like this:
You could even throw a rubber seal (like taillight gaskets) around the openings to make the fit tighter and help with vibration.
